For the price, this is a very handy little temperature logger and probe, despite my dislike of the software and settings being a little bit lacking. This probe and logger are quite good overall, with a durable plastic construction and a long cable leading to the temperature probe. The unit has a long cable and probe included, and presumably is compatible with other probes though it's not explained in the manual. It does a good job measuring temperature accurately to within 0.3 ºC (0.5 ºF) of accuracy, and you can set it to log data long term in its internal 4 MB of storage. It's sturdy enough to handle fridges and freezing temperatures within regular ranges, and it will keep logging as long as you keep it on; as far as I can tell it will in fact continue logging data for up to a year (testing ongoing for obvious reasons). The supplied probe at least doesn't appear to read humidity, and I'm not clear if the unit itself can either; it's mentioned in the documentation and software, but just says "Not Support" for the humidity in the software readings for it. I'll also note that this unit itself isn't waterproof in any way so you definitely wouldn't want this anywhere more humid than a fridge. Finally, there really aren't enough settings on this, so if you want to for example turn off a beep that happens every time it logs data, I at least haven't been able to find any way to turn that off and I've looked quite thoroughly.* I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable.* If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

I ordered this primarily to use as a regular thermometer to test various areas and appliances around the house. I didn't have much use for the logging feature, so I can't speak too much on that, but for what I used it for, it was simple and effective once I got a handle on the controls. The controls are a bit confusing at first, particularly the fact that the screen locks after 60 seconds and both arrows must be pressed simultaneously to unlock most (but not all) of the thermometer's functions. If you don't have the extremely tiny included manual with you, this isn't particularly intuitive. But, after that, the device itself is reasonably simple. I plugged in the supplied probe and turned it on, and instantly got the room's temperature, and was able to set the time, record, and switch between C and F.I received the thermometer about one month ago and, to test the battery life, I left it on and recording for the entire month. In that time, the battery meter didn't change, so I can only assume that their claim of a year long battery life is true, which is impressive even for a thermometer! My biggest issue with it is that it's described in the product's name and on the product's box as a "Thermometer Hygrometer", and while it does seem to have space for the readout of a hygrometer, you will not be able to read humidity with this product as it is. It appears that the "GSP-70PRO" (this product) is not the "GSP-80PRO", which is the same device listed on a different page, but with a probe that also reads humidity. The difference between these two is only a couple of dollars, so I'm confused as to why they would separate them like this, why they wouldn't just put the humidity/non-humidity option on the same page, and even more confused as to why they would keep the label of "hygrometer" on one that doesn't have this function. So buyer beware! Also, as a minor additional issue, the probe itself has a somewhat thick, round cord. This means it is difficult to fit in places you'd want it, like the side of a refrigerator door, or through the opening of a cooler. You can just put the device inside whatever you're trying to measure, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having a probe. That said, it does still do the job I originally expected it to (minus reading humidity), and gives accurate and fairly quick readings. I'd probably give it five stars if it weren't for the advertised hygrometer, so I think it's still recommendable as long as you know what you're getting.

I have reviewed a very similar product as this with a wired external temperature sensor. This unit has a plug-in sensor which attaches to the bottom of the base unit with its display screen. I wanted to use the unit to record the temperature in my freezer. Unfortunately with this product, as the sensor is attached directly to the unit, I would need to place the unit in my freezer to record the temperature. The problem is that such low temperatures impacts on the battery life of the thermometer so can’t be used for the intended purpose. In summary, This is a large-screened humidity and temperature monitor with a USB-C rechargeable battery. It is not the version of the product, shown on the Amazon product page, with a wired sensor. This is certainly confusing to any buyer. If I could have used the unit for the intended purpose, I think it would have worked well. It has a minimum recordable temperature of -40 degrees Celsius so can easily display the minimum temperature likely to be found in a domestic freezer. In addition to displaying the current temperature the unit can record minimum and maximum figures.Negatives, well only one really. The wired sensor version has far more utility than this version.Overall a fair product. Three stars.

This is a large-screened humidity and temperature monitor with a USB-C rechargeable battery. It has an external temperature sensor via a one-metre or so cable.I ordered this to check the temperature of my American Fridge - both the freezer half and the fridge half. The sensor can be positioned in the fridge with the main unit placed on top of the fridge. The unit works well. It has a minimum recordable temperature of -40 degrees Celsius so can easily display the minimum temperature likely to be found in a domestic freezer. In addition to displaying the current temperature the unit can record minimum and maximum figures.Negatives, well only one really. A remote sensor would have been better than a cabled one which results in a cable threaded through the fridges hinge mechanism which looks a little untidy. Other than that this is certainly a step up from a standard fridge thermometer.Overall a good product. Four stars.

Reviewing CHNADKS Temperature Humidity Data Logger, Our refrigerator went out recently and displayed an error code on the panel. It’s only 1.5 years old, so it was odd. An hour later, after we’d scheduled warranty work, we walked by it and noticed it the error message was gone, and it was working again. They came out to replace the part but did suggest we throw out all our food since we weren’t sure how low the temperature got inside the fridge and for how long. Since we had to waste $500+ worth of food (we had just went grocery shopping the day before), we knew we needed a temp and humidity logger so if something like this happens again, we will know for sure the temp dropped below a safe level for too long. This logger works well. The display is large and easy to read without taking it out of the fridge. We’ve had no issues with the battery. It’s still reading a fully charge after a week in the fridge. Instructions are not that great (you almost need a magnifying glass to read them), and the device isn’t as intuitive as it should be, but if you devote time to sitting down and scrolling through all the options, you’ll figure how to change/set things (like changing it to F from C). Rating 4 stars.

Bought to record the performance of a new heating system. The unit itself is fine. The screen is easy to read and the buttons are positive and it does the basic job perfectly well. The snag is the instructions that come with it that are printed using a font so small they need a magnifying glass just to read them. This makes them even harder to understand so I cannot yet exploit the full functionality of the logger. It is further complicated by each button has a different function, depending on how long it is pressed and what other button is pressed at the same time, which makes it hard to learn.

These are great for placing somewhere remotely and monitoring temperatures. The fact you can export CSV data from them if handy for generating reports for work purposes if need be and there is some software you can download and gain further features from, however I haven't had use to do that, for me the raw data was sufficient enough.Importantly they're quite accurate measurements too and the units themselves are small enough to place anywhere unobtrusively.

Having to add more programs than I expected. One to use the data and one to unpack the files.

I purchased a few of these for my small fruit orchard. I use them to measure overnight temperatures when there is a freeze forecast. They are easy to use and appear to be very accurate. I hang them from trees at night and return in the morning to retrieve. The PC software is very basic, but it works well and I especially like the graph feature. It is as simple as installing the software, opening the application, plugging in the sensor into the usb and viewing a graph of the data. I might pickup a couple more.
