Installation and Care

Clamp on adapter frame ring

Adapter Frame Ring

Slip adapter over ocular (eyepiece) or objective end of scope until it seats. Turn bolt until it finger tight, then tighten another 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Screw on adapter ring

Adapter Ring

Thread the adapter ring into the objective (front) of the optic. Once the adapter ring is fully threaded and finger tight, continue to hand tight.

Customizable lens cap rotation

Lens Cap Rotation

Open the cover and snap cover frame onto profile of adapter. To remove, open cover, grab cover close to the hinge, pull straight off adapter/optic.

I ordered these caps for a Trijicon Credo HX 1-6 LPVO and the options for caps are somewhat limited. I was hoping to love these scopecaps but as soon as I took them out of the package I was immediately disappointed in the sturdiness of these caps. The swiveling cap feels cheap and over complicated. The outer ring of the eyepiece cap is very thick due to the swivel feature and adds a lot of thickness to the scope while looking through it. It really ruins the view through an LPVO at 1X. These caps would be fine if they were half the price, but I wouldn’t recommend them for an LPVO style scope. I sent them back and ordered the Vortex Defender caps. The Vortex caps arrived and feel much more durable and do not affect the outer field of view nearly as much as the Tenebraex caps. At half the price of Tenebraex, the Vortex caps feel like a much better buy.
