This is a great signal generator for basic audio testing. it generates a pretty clean sine wave and square wave over the full audio spectrum, and the level is fairly constant over that range. The frequency calibration is not accurate, so you will need a counter or oscilloscope to measure frequency if you need to know that accurately. ( It covers the entire audio range 20 Hz to 20 KHz in a single band). But this does not prevent it from being useful for a functional audio system test and revealing where components such as a speaker driver may have failed.
