I play a LOT of tennis. Maybe 8-9 times a week. I've got a hard serve and am always curious how fast it is, consistently. I recently played at a court that had a built in device to call lines and clock serves. I loved it! I wanted a radar solution that I could take with me to my matches and came across this Net Playz at a reasonable price. It's fantastic! The speeds seem to be pretty accurate as they are comparable to the Zennis radar that I had at my recent match. This is easy to set up, easy to use and has HUGE numbers for easy reading. It comes with a stand, a manual, a carrying case and a tuning fork. It's now a permanent addition to my tennis bag!

It's a fun device to see how fast you're serving, but I'm not sure I think it is 100% accurate. The carry case is nice, but the device itself is lightweight plastic. The calibration technique involves using a tuning fork (included) and moving the tuning for back and forth towards the device. There really isn't a way to tell if you're really doing anything, either correct or incorrect, so mostly just hoping it's calibrated. The instructions are confusing and not clear. It makes it seem like there are multiple settings, but I think there are only two. For the tennis serve you want the first setting.I had to prop it up on a box to get it to register my serve (50mph) and it didn't always recognize it. The serve had to be low and nearly overhead of the device. Maybe that was my serve or maybe I didn't tune it correctly. Hard to say. I'll have to play with it more and try out different methods and placements to see if I can get more consistent results.Overall, for the price, it is fun to play with and maybe compete with friends.

I'm really surprised that something like this works this well at this price.I mean, it's not a pocket radar that costs $200 and you can tell it's not made with the highest quality materials, but it does its job and does it well.I have also one of the old school big gun radars and was curious how it measured the tuning fork as compared to this. Well, exactly the same. Wow.I like that I can put on tripod too and will take it out to my next baseball game so pitchers can see how fast they are throwing (or not and ruin their ego :P).I also use it off to the side when I'm doing tee work and although I know it's not the exact speed I'm hitting, it does reflect how well (or not) I hit the ball. Adds a nice corollary to the sound/feel of the ball off my bat.

This radar gun is a really fun tool that brings a lot of energy to my Pickleball lessons. Nothing gets my students more excited than seeing how fast they can drive the ball! I love the clear voice feedback and large LED display, which make it easy for everyone to see and hear their results. It's also small and quick to set up, which is perfect for moving between courts. That said, it doesn’t always read speeds perfectly—you need to be at a good distance and hit the ball in line with the radar to get a good reading. Accuracy isn’t the main point, though; it’s more about motivating students and letting them compare their stroke speeds. Placement is important (we put it in front of the net), and while it did get hit a few times, it held up without any damage. Overall, it's a great gadget for making lessons more engaging!

Works fine, but the marketing is a bit inconsistent. The webpage advertises it as a tennis radar gun, but the packaging is for baseball/softball. It's just kind of odd.
