Picking up 3 or 5 gallon water bottles from the floor is a recipe for a slipped disc. This handle give the leverage needed, without having to bend over

This makes handling 5 gallon bottles of water much easier. Instead of only using one hand on the built-in handle, this gives better purchase with your other hand.I like that it is sturdy but does not take up a bunch of space in the kitchen drawer.

I routinely bring 5 gallon water jugs up a few set of stairs. I never knew this would change up the ease of it though. The water jugs I do have already have handles on the side but these just make it a little more pleasant? I can't really explain it other than trying it out yourself. Wish I got the newer ones though. Might have to at this point.Recommended.

I was concerned with possible “hot spots” caused by the seam from the molding process, and there are a few areas that could stand a few minutes attention with some fine sandpaper. However, over all this is a very sturdily designed and constructed handle, and works quite well. The price is certainly reasonable, and I’m not terribly worried about the seams which be easily dealt with. If sanding this smoother is an issue somehow, simply put on a pair of thin cotton gardening gloves and you are set. I am very satisfied, and would buy another one if need be.

My son usually carriers these large bottles in for me, but struggles to get a good hold on them. I was unaware this product even existed and now I will be ordering one more for my dad! Easy to attach to the neck!

I brew mead as one of my many hobbies. To start the process, I use a 7 gallon device that I usually fill around half-way with my chosen ingredients. One of the many steps in brewing mead is draining the fermenting liquid into a different container as part of the process. That is where this handle comes in.I drain my mead off the (mostly) dead yeast and into a 3-gallon carboy that has to be lower than the original container for gravity to assist in the siphoning process. The carboy gets REALLY heavy (for me) with that much liquid in it, and can be difficult to pick up and move without shaking it up or slopping it out (if it's not sealed up yet). This handle provides a nice, solid, and stable grip for me to be able to get my now-full bottle moved where I need it to be for the next stage of the process, without pulling a muscle trying to lift the whole thing from the bottom or squishing my fingers trying to get them under it with no real purchase available. I don't have to try and grip the wide top spout area and have my hand slip off, making me drop the entire thing and sending a cascade of 3 gallons or more of sticky still-sweet liquid across my craft room. Now, there IS one way in which I could see this being made slightly better. Unlike the picture they show of how the handle goes around the bottle on the seller's given information, this handle is not at a 90 degree angle compared to the bottle neck when you use it. Once you start to "lift", the action of the handle angle increasing compared to the bottle neck is what causes enough friction to make the handle "grip" the bottle. There is nothing else that touches the bottle and the hole is not always "snug". Picking up the bottle with this handle also angles the bottle slightly and there is no way to avoid that.... so either have it sealed while moving, or don't fill it too much. The inner "hole" from the handle that you place over the spout of the bottle you want to move around is, like the rest of the device, made of hard slick plastic. This could cause it to slip off the jug it's working with fairly quickly and easily if you happen to accidentally loosen the angle when trying to lift the bottle onto a higher surface as you "hike" it up, like most people tend to do. It will also surprise you with how fast it will let go of the neck of the bottle if your start to support the bottom and aren't paying enough attention to maintaining the angle on the top.I think the inner area of the device where it contacts the jug should have some sort of gripping silicon or rubber material to better adhere to the neck of the jug and prevent it from slipping as easily. The only thing holding this to your jug neck is gravity and the angle of the holder's friction. If you accidentally "bounce" it and the angle it grips at loosens... and if the jug you have is glass.. it will create a bit of a hazard. 3-gallon jug necks are slightly smaller than 5-gallon, too... making it more likely to let go if you aren't careful to maintain the proper angle to maintain the grip of the handle on the bottleneck. Can this make your life easier? Absolutely. Is it worth the price? If you use these type of water bottles often, again, not a doubt in my mind. It may need a bit of improvement, but these have been around a while, and they are definitely worth getting for anyone who has to use big carboy-type jugs.

This is just what I need for the drinking water jugs that I take camping with us. I take 2-gallon, 3-gallon, and 5-gallon jugs along on our camping trips and it's getting increasingly difficult to pick them up and carry them, this handy device is perfect for the job.

This thing is great!! I never would have even thought to search for something like this. Typically I buy my water at my local supermarket and I grab the top neck with my left hand and pick the whole bottle up by the handle and combine the weight onto my left while sitting them into the cart. I usually buy 4-5 bottles at a time then when I get home I have to carry them from the truck to the garage and I sit them on my steps into the house one per step. As our water machine in the kitchens red light turns on I go grab one...they are heavy and it puts a strain on my back and knees. When I saw this run across my page I was intrigued and at the price point for this It was definitely well worth a try. I opened and tested it and WOW, so much easy...I am glad I got this and I get to store it on the neck of the next bottle to boot!!
