This sun shield arrived quickly and was well packaged.I have a sunshield for my Model Y that is one piece and I have found this fits better than the 1 piece, since it is 2 pieces.Having it in 2 pieces, allows for it to be easier to install, and I think there is less sagging in the center than the 1 piece.The clips that are included work better than the clips in the 1 piece unit.These sun shields are very useful in the summer time where I live, since the sun can be very intense. So this helps keep the cabin much cooler.I have a video for this installation, but for some reason I cannot upload the video.I would highly recommend this sun shielf

Verdict:Does it work? Yes. Do I HATE it? Yes. Because it was actually very hard to put together. It’s not that it was hard to figure out; rather, it was just difficult to keep together. I now understand why a one-piece is much better than a two-piece sunshade (like this one). The clips would just fall or fly off if you don’t connect it perfectly OR if it accidentally gets knocked off. However, once you DO have it in (as in, installed onto the roof), it stays well – I will give it that. Which makes me feel like I don’t want to take it off ever again.Functionality:The effects of the sunshade are very useful, because it blocks out the sun and is more energy-efficient for the car. The AC stays in the car longer, and the car doesn’t have to work as hard. There are parts on the edges where the sun can peek through, but honestly, I have stopped being obsessed with every little flaw with this car (because there’s just so many).Materials:One side is reflective material, while the other side is a white, non-reflective cloth. The two pieces each clearly marks which side is front of the car, and which is the back. However, it does not say which is top/bottom. But I am guessing the reflective side is top. It folds (if you are inclined to), and includes a bag to put it in. I suspect I will not be taking it off during the spring and summer time.Installation Instructions:Just Youtube it. It's the easiest way to see what you need to do. Also, slide it in from the trunk if you put the 2 pieces together first. This way, there's less chance for the connector pieces to fall off.

It’s an adequate sunshade however it comes a bit wrinkled, and while it fits on the car it leaves significant gaps between the sides of the roof.

living in the blistering southwest, the interior of my car would become unbearably hot after being parked in the sun, making it uncomfortable to get in and drive. I appreciate how easy it is to install and remove whenever I need to. The heat insulation has noticeably improved the temperature inside my car, allowing me to start my drives much more comfortably. Ordered it for model y 2024. It fits nicely and quality is good too. The package arrived promptly Nd assembly was quick and easy. It does a great job at blocking heat. Initially I thought it will be just one long shed but this one is 2 part shade which gives option if you want to cover partial roof which is good. It comes with plastic clips which fits nicely but its hard to clip and unclip as needed basis. For example, if you are interested to enjoy the view through roof while driving and use this shade while parking, you will have to manually clip and unclip the shade which is tedious. Its not like roller shade or movable shade which be just folded if not needed. I guess for the price it serves the purpose but once you attach it, you should plan to keep it that way and say bye to sunroof view. Overall, good purchase to avoid overheating in summer but I wish it had sliding capability to make it more efficient.
