This tetherball pole set is thoughtfully designed. The base, which is screwed into the ground, holds the pole in place solidly and securely. The rope has carabiner clips on each side, avoiding the need to tie knots to hold it in place. The weak point is where the ball attached to the rope. While the ball itself is well made, and the package even includes a pump for inflation, the attachment point was simply a nylon strap (rather than the plastic loop we have previously seen on tetherballs). Predictably, this nylon loop ripped after only a few days of use. A better designed ball would make this easily a five star set.

Easy to set up. Seems quite sturdy. But after 5 mins of my kids playing with it the ball ripped away from the rope. Disappointing.
