I have a fully carpeted room and these work really well in there. I do think they would be a little too thin for being on a hard floor. The colors are vivid and one adult foot fits comfortably per square. I find they are good as a sensory activity, but they could also be good for an obstacle course or another game for a kid. I really like the feel of it against my skin and find it a unique add-on to my yoga room.
