I'm writing a review because I've seen many reviews of similar rafter hooks where it was stated that it was difficult to install or needed modification. Mine took 5 minutes to install, and required no modification. There were no instructions on how to install it but it wasn't necessary. I used it today and it worked just fine. It's notched so it stays in place when extended or retracted.
