The tool is great, or would be great for digging straight down to plant a seedling or even a tree, but the stick is too short to get a good downstroke.

This is a hand trowel. Nice and sharp but its not a stand up and use tool. Good for digging up a small root system so I will keep it but I am looking for a larger standing use tool. The handle is really short and the blade is small but it does seem sturdy and works well for what it is. Just plan on being on your knees, crouching or sitting to do the work.
