I've been using this 15-inch steel thatch rake for a few weeks now, and it's become an indispensable tool in my lawn care arsenal. As someone who takes pride in maintaining a healthy lawn, I appreciate how this rake efficiently removes dead grass and loosens the soil without damaging the healthy turf. The adjustable steel handle is a thoughtful feature, allowing me to customize the length for optimal comfort during use. I found this particularly helpful when tackling different areas of my yard, from open spaces to tighter spots near my flower beds. The durability of the steel construction gives me confidence that this tool will serve me well for seasons to come. While using this rake does require some physical effort, I view it as a welcome form of exercise. It's certainly more labor-intensive than electric alternatives, but I prefer the control and precision it offers. It's quite therapeutic and relaxing, and grass doesn't talk back, right? One minor drawback is that the head can occasionally loosen during use, requiring a quick tightening of the wing nuts. However, this hasn't significantly impacted my overall positive experience with the product.

With spring here, I’ve been getting my yard ready, and this thatch rake has been a big help. I’m working on a small front yard, so it’s perfect for the size, but be ready to use a little muscle, it really pulls up all the dead grass and loosens the soil well so fresh grass can grow. One thing to note: the handle is longer than I expected. If you’re taller, you’ll appreciate that it’s not a short stick rake. However, No instructions in the box. I’m not super handy, so putting it together took a bit of guessing. I ended up checking the product photos online and had a couple of extra screws left over. It would’ve been nice if they included clear instructions. But once it’s set up, it does the job.

No assembly instructions but easy enough to figure out without them. Has nice weight to it and I expect it to last a long time. It does what I expected it to do but the bolts and wing nuts have to be tightened frequently which is a bit annoying.

I've only used this for two days, but it is doing a good job at removing moss and thatch where I want to add new seed during the wet spring and early growing season.

Does the job very well. Sturdy. I added lock washers to prevent loosening. Also put tape at the joiners to prevent unscrewing unintentionally.

This thatch rake is okay for the price. It doesn't stand up to extensive use. I had to reset the bolts and wing nuts multiple times just doing my smaller sized yard. This might be a good choice if you just need a more light-duty rake.

This rake seems very sturdy and high quality, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly what screws, nuts, wing nuts, and washers go where. It doesn’t come with any instructions, diagram or clear photo so I don’t understand how it’s supposed to function. I think I put the wing nuts in the wrong place, and I have an extra screw and nut. I will have to look this up online to figure it why it sorta looks like the business end can be adjusted to whatever angle you want it to be at. The teeth are also not symmetrical, so I don’t know which direction you are supposed to scratch at grass and plants, with it. I have to deduct a star for the inconvenience of lack of directions. I’ll update once I’ve fixed my rake and used it.
