With all the nooks and crannies in the feeder tray, it would be difficult to keep the machine dust-free without a cover. Therefore, a dust cover is very important to have for a device like this photo scanner. This dust cover fits really well and is just loose enough to easily slip over the Canon image RS40 in a flash.

Dust cover fits my new scanner perfectly keeping cat hair at bay. Also creates a cohesive look for my home office in the corner of my kitchen. Worth the money. Highly recommend.
