The Jean shorts I have been looking for! They fit wonderfully, almost like an "A" to where the shorts jut out a little bit which makes them extra flattering on your legs. Super soft, too!

These shorts are too big :( The waist and hip are both too wide, so it sits too low, and then the legs are big, baggy, and unflattering. Very disappointing

I have a long torso with shorter legs and so shorts are always a hassle for me. I'm VERY happy with this pair of denim shorts by The Drop! I typically fit an x-small (5'4, 105lbs) and I ordered in a size 24 and it was the perfect fit. It fits comfortably at my waist without being too baggy or too tight in the actual fit of the shorts. These shorts flare out a bit which is helpful if you've got my proportions and balances out a slimmer or more rectangular body type to look fuller. The material is not structured, so expect more of a thin and breathable material. I probably wouldn't roll around in the grass in these, but I'd definitely wear them with a nice top to brunch or on a walk. They're perfect for me and I'm very picky so that's high praise.

These shorts run big and kind of flare at the bottom/leg openings. The material felt thin for jean material, but would probably make for a comfier jean short if the fit was right!

First off, I love how these shorts look and feel in general, however, I don't think they're perfect, and I think they'll work better for some people than others.I think how flared these shorts look is directly correlated to your waist-to-hip proportions. If you have a smaller waist or bigger hips, then I think they might fit perfectly. If you have a larger waist or smaller hips, then they might end up either being too tight in the waist or looking too roomy everywhere else.In my case, I don't think I have the best proportions for this. The size I got fits me great everywhere below the waist, but the waist is very tight with no stretch at all. I considered sizing up, but they already look quite flared in the size I got, and I don't want them to look any bigger on the bottom. So for my body type, I think the cut is a bit of a catch-22. Either too tight up top, or too loose down below. But, the waist did relax ever so slightly after wearing them for part of a day, and they're more comfortable for me now, so I do think I am reasonably happy with the size I got.The material is great! Perfect for summer... lightweight and pretty flowy and airy, but still looks and feels like denim. There is essentially no stretch at all in the material, which I think is good for the prospect of holding its shape over time and not having to wash them constantly to get them back to normal size, but it means you must be extra careful about sizing because they aren't forgiving in the waist.If they flatter your body, they are excellent shorts, and I'd recommend them!

I absolutely love these denim shorts. The cut and fit of the shorts is excellent - they cinch in at the waist and flare out a bit at the legs. They’re the right length for summer shorts, with about a 3.5" inseam. They cover enough back and front, but don't look dowdy. These are very flattering shorts. The material is soft and comfortable--not stiff at all. The pockets are sizeable for women’s pants and can accomodate a phone.The size chart is nonexistent, but a size 30 fit me when I usually wear a women’s 10. The waist is just a bit tight, but the rest of the shorts fit well.I highly, highly recommend these and may purchase another pair in a different color.

Overall I like these shorts. The denim material looks and feels like nice quality. I ordered my usual size and while they fit, they are a little snug in the waist. I think if I ordered up a size though they would be too large in other areas. They will likely stretch a little, as most jean material does. These are high-waisted and of a somewhat modest length; definitely not booty shorts but not down to your knees either.
