Just what I need for my African Grey. Not too big or too small. Although the instructions are not great, but you can easily figure them out. Happy with my purchase.

Multiple reviews noted poor instructions for putting it together and had the same problem. Has fallen apart three times and almost injured the bird. When it was standing it worked OK and the bird liked it. Do not recommend

This is going to be long and detailed to hopefully help the next buyer. I liked the design of this perch so I chanced it despite the review about missing pieces and bad instructions. That person was right, but I really liked this product anyways. Probably because I'm not a very picky person and can get crafty when I need to. This product is far from perfect. Buyer should know that the instructions are VERY vague and I didn't recieve all of the screws needed to put it together and there were a lot of extra screws at the end of assembly. I had to improvise in some places, as it wasn't clear what screws went where and eventually some of them just didn't fit. I'm posting pictures to show how I put it together step by step, hopefully it helps someone who might be struggling to put this thing together. It took me some trial and error. I probably did it wrong, but whatever! My bird LOVES this thing, so I'm happy if he's happy. First picture is the instructions, and you should know, none of the parts are labeled like they are in the instructions. 2nd picture is the tools I was given, and picture 13 are the screws that were left when I was done! I wound up one screw short of what I needed, because each screw was a specific size and only fit in certain places. I made it work though, structurally that is. Only the long screws fit the body in pictures 3 and 4, the medium screws fit pictures 6 and 7 and the short screws only worked for pictures 10 despite the amount of them. This makes me think I may have put it together wrong. Picture 9 shows that the dishes don't quite fit all the way into their slots as they are a bit too wide. I'm sure if I push hard enough they'll go all the way down, but I know I won't be able to get them out again so I just leave them half way and they stick good. I think the short screws were supposed to be used on the wooden perch part, but I just couldn't get them to fit through the frame no matter which way I tried it. None of the rest of them fit there either, so I just used a ton of wire as pictured in 11 and 12. It worked for me and I'm fine with that. Last picture is a happy bird on a finished product, but the toys were mine. It doesn't come with the toys.

First, the directions for assembly are sooo sketchy- one sheet of pictures only with no directions on where to place the different sized nuts and bolts or how to use the washers. If you are good at figuring things out, you can do it with some thought.Second, as I started, it didn't seem like the tray section fits on the base but if you continue inserting the nuts and bolts, you can conform the pieces to fit by sheer will. Also, these bolts and nuts need to be placed down, not up which was easier to install, because the length of the bolt prevents the tray from sitting flush in the base. (figured that out by trial and error)Third, the loop for hanging toys is directly over one of the feed dishes. If you put something up there that's shred-able, you are going to have a mess in the seed or water bowl. And finally, the stainless steel bowls are too large to fit into the metal rings. You sort of have to smash them in tight and they sit 1 inch above the metal ring, not flush as pictured. But, if you are good with all of that, it works and it is a perfect size for an African Grey.It is made in China so who knows about the safety of the metal.

This is larger than I thought it would be for my conure. I attached a bungee at the top and made a large pay area for my bird to crawl all over and play on. Nice quality.
