Great set but a few things you should know.1. Fast paced - This set is quite fast paced. I don't believe it would be easy for total beginners to understand.2. Marketing - The basis of each show is one of their company products such as a drill bit set. Usually I wouldn't like to see this, but the tools are actually quite useful and no marketing detracts from the main show. It was palatable and informative.3. Variety- a wide variety of useful topics.4. Length of Shows- varies from 20 min to just over 2 hours.5. Camera angles - ease of viewing - excellent, it's all very clear.Overall, great DVDs and very good value. Glad I bought it for my husband who is advanced level (can build an entire house on his own), he enjoyed all of them.

Its in fact a How To Serie thats a Commercial. Every Vid Marc Somerfeld use only his own Brand for doing everything. He is a verry nervous Person. I had the feeling watching a seller/salesman on an event. Plus the Vids came without the Box shown. NO, I do not regret for buying those, but if you do know the Vids from Mike Pekovic or George Vondriska (my favorite) ... thats really something different. Marc Sommerfeld seems always to be in a hurry...

So Marc is fun to watch but he runs around like a maniac. The videos are very thorough and very helpful I have watched several of them I would not necessarily call them entertaining, but the purpose is more about getting information on woodworking projects. I would definitely recommend the cabinet making series for anyone who is undergoing making kitchen cabinets. The grandfather clock DVD is also quite informative. Yes I would buy this DVD series again and I am glad to have it in my library.

These are very clear and excellent. I use Sommerfeld's door making sets and find they work exactly as noted, so I don't mind at all that he uses his own tools in these videos. What makes them so good is the step by step detail of each process. Also, well shot and edited so so you can really see what he's doing. Nice set and good price for all that guidance.

This is very good but you have to realize it is a promotion of the tools made by Sommerfeld's Tools not just your average instruction video
