Purchased for my husband for our riding lawnmower. My husband had problems with spinning on hilly terrain. Now, he glides over those hills.

If you intend to convert your garden mowing tractor into a plow for the winter, along with plow (of course)and a weight kit, you MUST have chains. Traction is improved a lot with chains. I used these for several long plowing sessions and they held up well. Spray some WD40 on them before storing (and possibly between sessions) to keep them from rusting (they will start showing rust pretty quickly). Optionally add some bungies to keep the tension. I did have them slip around on the tire a bit, but not bad.

Very easy to my lawn tractor tires with out removing them from the tractor. They give superior traction during snow blowing the driveway. They get the job done.

These chains work great on my huskavarna mower! To keep them from popping off I zip tied the end link in place and use bungee cords to keep them tight.

Nice chains, work great, as far as installation; tire chains in general are not “easy” to install, esp if you have never done it. I’v done MANY and these were easy to install and the latches worked just fine. Have a pair of gloves, a nice set of vise grips and some channel locks to make it easier and not tear up your fingers. I used a hack saw to cut off the extra chain links i didnt need because i set my chains to the tightest setting. I also added a set of slack adjusters (purchase separately) to make a nice, snug, tight fit because im super picky, but the chains would have worked fine without them

I waited for warmer weather to install these tire chains because I remember having so much difficulty doing chains in the past. I was pleasantly surprised how easy these garden tractor chains were to install compared to car chains. It took only a few minutes to lay out the chains, place them on the tires, and close the clips. The chains stay tight and provide traction to move through muddy areas and climb steep grade pulling a trailer behind the tractor.

Clip broke on installation. Didn't get to try them. Pain to install. Clips are really soft metal. Broke during install.
