  • Specs - 7 1/2" Diameter. 3/4" Bore. 3/16" Key. Engagement Range: 1600- 3300 RPM. Refer to images 2 & 3 for more information
  • Includes - (1) Backplate, (1) Integrated Jackshaft, (1) 10T Sprocket, (1) 1" Driver Clutch Pulley, (1) 3/4" Driven Clutch Pulley, (1) Drive Belt, (1) Cover & Installation Hardware; comes as shown in the first image
  • Fits 8HP-18HP Go Kart engines with 1" Straight Crankshaft & 1/4" Keyway, if this converter kit is used on engines larger than 18hp, the belt will burn up
  • For some units, the driven clutch will need flipped around when mounted, please refer to image 7 for reference

This torque converter does work. However, as others stated. The driver pulls needs to be replaced as it is built incorrectly. Plan to spend another $40+ on that. Also it needs to be run inboard. Backwards from photo.Additionally in order to run the driven pulley as pictured you will need to replace the red driven spring with a reverse wound yellow spring, about $20. I can see no way this clutch will ever be able to run as pictured with the spring it comes with as you'll never achieve a proper alignment.I hope this saves someone some headaches.It will work very well if you make these couple changes and budget the extra $60-70.

Driven clutch would not disengage enough and retract fully. I ordered another brand from another company on Amazon and my cart drives new again. The one that comes with this kit is trash. Inside is welded wrong.

Out of the box all looked good and I was able to install, belt seemed too tight though and would not disengage, once running on stands again no neutral or idle was obtainable, put 2" longer belt on and same thing. Found out problem is the driven (engine end) converter, the unit will not fully retract into housing and is staying extended about 1/4" out and grabs belt instead of allowing to rest on center shaft, I ordered a new clutch for $50 and decided not worth trouble. Unit is fine as long as you remember you will have to work these things out! Update, I pulled the converter apart and it turns out the tracks that the weights ride on are welded incorrectly inside and will not disengage the belt fully. The rest of the unit is good, just a bad converter.

Clutch will not open wide enough to let the belt free spin. Go kart cannot idle because of this. Poor design.
