This Baby Car Monitor is a straightforward solution for parents who want to keep an eye on their little ones while driving. Setup was simple; the camera mounts securely to the headrest, and the monitor attaches to the dashboard with a suction cup. While organizing the cables neatly took a bit of effort (I used a few adhesive clips to route them along the seat crevices), the result is clean and doesn’t distract from driving. The video quality isn’t ultra-HD, but it’s perfectly clear enough to see if your baby is asleep, awake, or needs attention. Even in low light or during sunset drives, the camera adjusts well, and there’s no lag or static on the monitor. I appreciate that it doesn’t rely on Wi-Fi or apps – just a direct connection, so there’s no risk of losing signal mid-drive.Minor quibbles: The included cables are a tad short for larger vehicles, and the power adapter could be more discreet. But these are small trade-offs for a product that otherwise works exactly as advertised.

The first thing I'd like to address is that yes it does feel a bit flimsy and made of thin plastic, BUT it does work and it will just be sitting on the dash so I really don't think durability is of any concern at all here.I also want to mention that yes, it's a bit light weight and obviously not comparable to a high end baby monitor or something BUT when you factor in the price... it's a great value and gets the job done IMOAs you can see from the pictures I was able to run the cable from the back headrest of a GMC Sierra 1500 up to the dash unit suctioned to the windshield without any issue. There was just enough slack that I was able to run it behind the seats and under the floor mats so it's mostly not visible. It turns on with the car and turns off with the car as well, as long as your vehicles USB/cig lighter port turn on and off with the car (in some cars they stay on). Which is great because you don't have to fiddle with the plug or touch anything for every ride. Check your ports to make sure yours work this way.The image quality on my unit seems to be great, better than expected honestly, which you can see a bit in the included pics.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because on my unit, the wiring is a bit finicky. It may not be like this in all units but the one I got has a slight issue with the power cable where with certain movements or pressure it shuts off.I only encountered this issue while installing it and it has not been an issue with daily use, yet, but I will update if that changes. One other potential consideration is that the two wire leads that hang off of the screen unit can be a bit dangly, for me they seem to hang out of the way and most of the other wires sit out of the way as well so it's not an issue but in certain vehicles it might be annoying. Again though for the price and ease of setup I don't consider this worth deducting, just something to consider.

I'm not sure if this makes a good in-car baby monitor. The display is small and light-weight; perfect for the windshield. However, the field of view of the camera seems all wrong. From the rear headrest, I can see the entire back of the front seat, plus about half the driver. A newborn's head will be no more than 3/16" on the screen; hardly enough to tell anything but maybe which way they are facing.Set up is easy, but the cabling could be improved. A single wire from the monitor splits into two, one end is a USB (for power) and another a proprietary connector for the camera. However, the split is too close to the display. On a 2020 Subaru Outback with the display mounted to the bottom left corner of the windshield (one of the legal areas for the state of California), this bulky split and camera connector end up right on top of the steering column, which could be an issue if two drivers are changing the steering wheel tilt. The USB cable is long enough to make it to the center console between the front seats where the 12V outlet is. The item comes with a very low quality dual-USB adapter. If the split of the cable was closer to the USB end, then I'd have one small black wire to route to the center console and then one small wire to rout from there to the camera. Would be a much neater arrangement. The camera cable is plenty long but not sure it would make it to a third row vehicle. This might be more appropriate for monitoring pets or something where you only care about large scale movement. I don't think you'll be able to see a child's facial expression.

Works like a charm! The “The Upgrade Baby Car Monitor for Enhancing Driving Safety” is simple to get going. There’s a lot of length in the cable, and I tested it at home before installing in the car. There’s an auto-dark and light feature which flips the screen color to night mode or day time mode, which helps with visibility. The screen has a mount and stand with a suction cup, and a few adjustments such as up, down, left, and right to reposition the screen. It also has a glare hood so you don’t have to take your hands off the wheels to look at the screen nor squint in bright lights. The connected camera has a very long length and two types of mounts, whether you want to strap it or use the included pinch type of mounts (where you have to use the plastic band and tighten two screws).Quality: It’s a bit bulky and not slim, but this makes it durable. You can mount it in the rear seats or behind the front seats at the head rest bars, and the camera mount has a ball so you can reposition the camera for the best angle. It’s in good quality and helps you keep your eyes on the road while the kid is doing whatever they want in the back.Overall: For a one person + rear seats passenger view, this is great. It was easy as plugging and playing and there was minimal setup. You have to just mount and tuck the wires, and it comes with a charger that has a qualcomm fast charging port to free up a USB-A slot for your phone or accessories.
