My only complaint about this item is the band that holds the unit fits extremely tight when in place. Other than that this is a great item the screw end is very sharp and threaded into the tree very easily.

Didn’t realize it had a spike that needs to be jammed into the tree. Was hoping to use this camping. Not if it damages wildlife.Unnecessary design.

All these years using a Thermacell and always having a hard time finding a way to place it while hunting in a tree stand. This tree hanger is awesome. Screw it into the tree, place your Thermacell and latch the rubber latch and you are in business. Used it hunting Sika’s on the Eastern shore of Maryland in September when the mosquitos are terrible.

I've always found the Thermacell to be surprisingly effective when hunting. However it was just not possible when in an climbing stand because there is no place to put it. Mosquito repellent stinks so bad it might as well be called deer repellent. I can stick this into the tree above my head and be ensconced on all sides in this wonderful cloud of bug-less glory! It's a weird thing to watch the mosquito swarm around you during a twilight hunt yet not have any on you.This thing is reasonably tough, I haven't broken it yet. It even fell out of my pocket and got run over by an ATV without suffering damage.I'd like to see Thermacell build an option for this that gives some kind of clip or clamp to secure it to the rails of a hunting stand as well.
