I had high expectations for this, but upon installing the app, it is asking for a lot of permissions.I was ready to grant them, at least to try, but I get an error screen (Pic) saying that location permission should be granted.Problem is that the app doesn't actually request it from the system. So the app won't work, because it never asks for the location permission that, for my money, it doesn't need.There's absolutely no need for location services for this app. If you read the t&c you'll see that they'll sell everything they get from you.So really, this won't work with your phone. They require access they didn't request of the OS.I would avoid this.

What a nifty little thing. It works and it will also tell you the approximate temp in each of the areas in the camera. Pictured is a screenshot (which it has in the app to take those), I raise poultry chicks in the spring/summer and the picture is what this camera did pointed at the brooder area. You can see the heat lamps in there and the chicks/ducklings below them. Since I use a reptile ceramic heat "bulb" that only puts out heat and no light...this can help me understand the reach of the heat "light" in the brooder. NEAT! It has alot of other applications for me. In the dark of the night if the dogs alert to something around the chicken pens, I can use this to expose any interloper, also, rodent control is a part of keeping poultry in the country and this could help me see those too at night to know how bad of a problem there might be and where to locate elimination efforts to the best advantage. My son said "OHHHH, GHOST HUNTING!!!" (rolls eyes, LOL) ok....I guess.It comes with a case that is perfect for it and a cord in case it would work better for you with a bit of cord...about 18" maybe? Anyway, this is a good one.

I have always wanted to get an IR camera.This one works great. Just download the app and plug in the camera.From the pictures, you can see a circuit breaker panel (The brighter parts are the breakers for my computer room and fish room. The other pictures are of my dogs.I am going to use this to find air leaks in my house and to check components in my vintage electronics.It is super easy to use, it takes still pics and videos!It did take me a few minutes to find the app because my phone did not want to find it right way, but it did show up.It comes with a nice protected carry case too!

I am in love with this little gizmo! The software works well, and it has enough resolution that you can use it for all sorts of inspection tasks. I am not sure if it could resolve says tiny smd resistor heating up, but it will definitely resolve fine enough detail to identify hot chips etc That makes it more than adequate for tracing hot water pipes, checking for hot spots in walls, examining insulation, evaluating cooling etc. etc.But primarily this is just super fun to play with and see the world in heat. It's got great gizmo or adult science experiment appeal. Also, it let's you see in the dark (kind of) which made me feel like the Predator. AwesomeWhy 4 stars then? Well at this price there is some stuff competition, and the documentation here is pretty shoddy. It's not hard to use, but at this price I would expect decent technical writing and some applications notes. Instead the manual is bare bones and I had to dig to find it! Most people won't need a full manual, but the lack of explanation makes this feel like a toy.An awesome toy.

Although I didn’t have a dire need for this thermal camera, I was very excited to get it since I’ve always wanted one!Here’s what I noticed after one week of use…-Great package and presentation. The camera, the cable, and the case are all well built and have a premium feel.-Setup is relatively simple with the plug and play interface.-The app is also quite simple but lacks instruction and guidance—the included manual and online setup guide also lack app instruction. The app also wants a few permissions (camera, storage, location) that must be turned on via phone settings>apps>permissions. The real kicker here is that the app wants “always allow” permissions and will not work with “only while using the app” permissions. This is highly suspect. So, I only turn on the required permissions when I use the camera and I turn on airplane mode so no data can be sent. It’s a hassle for sure, but a small one IMO.-The various thermal views are super cool! The temperature targeting is fairly spot on (I calibrated against my thermal heat detection device with a deviation of +-1C). It was very interesting to see the difference between mine (male) and my wife and daughter’s blood circulation in our extremities. I know see why they are also saying how cold they are when their toes and fingers came up dark/blue under thermal, while mine came up glowing orange.-Using the camera for longer than 2 minutes makes my Z Flip 3 pretty hot. Hot enough for me to remove the camera and give it a rest.-The OTG cable works as expected and fits perfectly within the rigid zip case, which also includes a firm foam cutout to keep the camera snug and protected during transport/storage.-The image and video quality seem pretty good but I honestly don’t have any other thermal images/videos to compare it to.-Last, it works best at close range, within 1M, and not so well beyond that.Sans the questionable permissions and rapid device heating, this camera meets all of my needs and performs better than I expected.

The camera does its job. That is where the good about this ends. The Terms and Conditions are a nightmare! You have to open up every permission to use this camera and the software maker sells all of that data. Using this camera puts you under 24/7 surveillance.
