So wow. I was not sure what I was expecting but we have had some noises in the corners of our property at night when I am working overnight on projects. This thing was really easy to set yp and was very helpful in helping me catch some of the kids from the apartments down the way in their shennanigans. It has a lot more options and functions than what I was getting into but I will say the clarity and refesh rate was impressive, I was able to get a clear image even when they were running and throwing things. Made me feel like Ironman.

I was never able to get this item to work. At first I thought there was a piece missing because it has a nice small case, complete with foam cutout, but empty. After reading other customer reviews I learned this is for a camera, but in this model the camera is built in. If this is the case, why did they include this nice little zippered case?I was not able to pair the app with my phone. Another review suggested you need a certain type of phone which I evidently don’t have.I agree with the other reviewers who say the instruction manual has painfully tiny print and is basically unhelpful. This is NOT a user friendly device.

For the price point its a win. I had a topdon witch is awsome but if dropped the usbc male snaps off. This one is in a case basicly so its safe. I wouldent plan on mounting it on somthing large idk wouldent want to distroy it but maby they can tell us what it can handle....no prob spotting a yote at 200+ yards. When your dog walks across the room you can see thw warm paw prints lol.

I had a FLIR thermal camera years ago for my iPhone. It worked ok for doing inspections on the rental homes I had to find spots that needed insulation in the walls. I saw this one and although primarily marketed for hunting and wildlife, I liked the handle for comfort in doing my inspections. When I received this, it had a nice case to protect the imager when not in use. The instructions are in a small booklet - which made it quite difficult to read due to the small type. I did a search on the internet and was not able to find an online version so I can read it easier on a laptop/computer screen.I proceeded to connect a somewhat newer ZTE android phone and downloaded the app. I could not get it past the initial CONNECT screen and later found that I needed a phone that had "OTG" capability. This was not mentioned anywhere PRIOR to buying the imager. After trying a couple of other phones I finally located a cheap Motorola G phone and it finally connected and I was able to use the app. Right off the bat, I noticed that the images were FAR better than the FLIR unit that I used previously. In fact, the images were pretty clear. There are a lot of modes to display the objects in an appropriate mode depending on what you want to concentrate on. Unfortunately, the manual is basically useless in describing the modes and usage. I have been playing around with it for the last few days - once I figured out, it is a great imager especially for the relatively "low" price compared to other solutions. For my indoor and close object usage, it's decent but I wish it was more wide angle. For outdoors especially for wildlife, It's pretty awesome. The zoom and display of far away objects are displayed very well. The thermal sensor is sharp and accurate. If it wasn't for the lack of information on what I needed phone wise BEFORE purchasing AND the really poor manual/online written support, I would definitely give this 5*. Instead, the frustration of getting this to work, I can only recommend 3 or 4 stars - especially when a lot of questions still remain to be answered for me.

2/26/2025Edit: I've gotten a hold of customer service.I found their webpage and Facebook group and that was the best way to reach them. The response was quick! Maybe curt but oh well. The camera is built into the stick handle.I still need to test this out now but feel the description of what you actually get and what it and the other accessories do and how you install them is vague at best or possibly misleading and needs more work.Seems like a lot of work to get it out and simply just use it on your phone or other Android device.Again the instructions don't tell you how and there's just two small pages that point out some of the features.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Item was new and sealed as well so I don't believe it was taken after it was packaged at the factory.Looks like something got broken in shipping as well. Can't or have had no luck in getting a hold of customer service so far either for a replacement or resolution.

This is my second thermal device and by far the nicer of the two. You need to understand that this sensor is similar to other units but the more important is its refresh rate. The image is much clearer while moving and scanning and the video looks way better. The digital zoom and the algorithm let you get some ridiculous range and clarity out of such a tiny device. The handle and holder work well but if you want to just us the camera and alone with an OTG cable it's easy to do as well. the pallet choices let you find easy to differentiate gradients for different uses. The app has a lot of options from area temperature selection to crosshairs, to auto refresh etc. Plus, it looks like it interfaces with add-ons like a laser range finder or dedicated touch screen. Really incredible for such tiny tech that can fit into anybody's gear kit. Definitely two thumbs up!
