Only good really for pulling needle... insert regular thimble to help push..my error on assuming could use for both.

I purchased these to use when I melt paracord together. I melt the ends of the cord, mash them together and roll them between my thumb and forefinger to "weld" the cord together. There are days when I might join over a hundred such welds, and frankly I got tired of the constant burns on my fingertips. So far these are working great. They eliminate fingertip burns from melted paracord, and dramatically decrease the intensity of the overall heat.I have slightly larger than average size hands for a man, and these fit fine. Requires little effort to put on, and they stay put. Excellent grip. Four stars for now. I'll see how well they hold up over the coming weeks and will update my review based on durability. I can realistically see going through a set of these every month or so, but we'll see.SPO
