I purchased this thermostat to replace the original in my 2020 Chevy Colorado (3.6 V6 4WD). I was having trouble with my temperature gauge bottoming out and the coolant fan continuing to run after the engine was shut off.My knee jerk reaction was to replace the coolant temperature sensor and the thermostat while flushing and refilling the system. This did not solve the problem as this particular thermostat does not run at 195°. Average running temperature with this thermostat is 170 which trips the code for “engine not reaching normal running temperature”. If you intend to fix a problem, such as I have described, this thermostatwill not fix it. You must purchase one designed to run at 195°.
