These might be OK for a heavy rod (8 to 12wt) with short stiff leaders but otherwise they are too heavy to cast because the leader won’t straighten out and there will be large splash. They will sink fast and are flashy so might be OK for certain situations like surf or for aggressive, hungry fish. Not for me. Would have been fine with smaller, lighter cone.

I've caught panfish, trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, channel cats, sheephead, sucker, carp, and pike on these flies. They work.

So my first order of thin mints didn't include any flash, the seller reached and told me that I had received a bad batch of flies that didn't have any flash, they sent some replacement ones and they look great, look forward to putting them to use.
