Got exactly what was pictured in the listing. Sturdy plastic, lots of labels to personalize the folders. This pack contains 3, and each one opens pretty wide, so 3 is plenty! Just as pictured, there is a clear-white plastic connector and bottom section that attaches the two big flat sides. There is an ingenious design feature with regards to the hanging tabs - the tabs can SLIDE OUT, just pull the small sticking up notch near the edges and voila! This is really handy if you need them to STOP being hanging folders, and become usual folders instead.Warning - there IS a strong smell when first opening the package, so leave the out for a day or so to avoid getting the smell on all your papers...

These work really well for miscellaneous items large items in the file drawer. The side gussets hold everything in, versus a standard wide file folder and holds considerably more than a standard expandable job jacket. The adjustable hooks work great and are nice and strong. I really like that they come in a set of 3.If these were the only brand I've tried, I'd give them 5 stars... However, compared to another brand ordered on Amazon, they aren't as deep and don't hold as much as the others I have. "How much is this person putting in there? What is she storing, that she needs that much room?!?!" you may be wondering? The answer is a lot... I use them to organize various fabrics in my file drawers... I wrap 1 yard or larger remant fabric around comic book boards and keep them in there. For more than an yard, I wrap it around hanging file folders, so it's always handy and ready to go. That said, with these holders, I can only fit 5 of my comic-sized mini bolts of 1 yard fabric in the Big Tex file holders, I can fit 7-8 in the other brand.I realize my reason for judgment is outside of the norm for these and not typical business use. I do own a small business, and for organizing paperwork, they do the job... But I'd still give them 4 stars by comparison to the other brand. These do include tabs and labels like the other brand, but the other brand also includes full-size dividers as well. Which I find incredibly handy because of the size, I can put more than one project's worth of printed samples in the file holder and place dividers between the projects for better organization. So, to me while great which is why I'm giving them 4 stars are lacking in the two different ways I use these.

I am not convinced in the longevity of this product nor the quality of materials. The accordion plastic on the bottom needs to be stretched in order to put items in, otherwise my folders would sit on the fold “peaks” and be too high for my filing cabinet to close. You can put folders in between the divots without stretching, but the accordion folds take up needless space. I would only order these if you have extra wide items that need such accommodations. I do appreciate the adjustable hanging hooks as they can be custom fitted to your hanging file holder. Pricey for what you get.

These hanging file folders are certainly a big step up from the reinforced heavy weight paper ones I have been using. I am pretty confident that they will outlast my original ones that have been holding my bulky items.So what are the main differences between these and the “poster board” extra wide hanging folders that have served me well for years?The new ones- heavy plastic sides (front and back)- should have good durability- expandable to 3 inches (fan-folded) sides and bottom - clear plastic - these should keep papers neater, but they do not feel as substantial as the sides.- adjustable hangers making it easier to fit in a variety of file cabinets - these are heavy plastic and may not be as durable as the metal ones in my old folders- plastic tabs with stick-on labels that can be removed. Unfortunately, since I had to remove the label a couple of times to get it in the right place, it is peeling off on its own.- much neater, more professional look - if you have exposed files this could be important- it can stand up on its ownBut here is the BIGGEST difference, in my opinion. At the current price of $14.99/ 3-pack with a 15% coupon, you are paying about $4.25/folder.On the other hand, you can also buy multi-pack of extra-wide folders like my old ones that have lasted for years for about 65¢/ folderIf you need to have very nice, file folders - yes - I think these are very nice (except for the peeling off label, but that may be my fault.If you have a nice file cabinet and you just need to have some 3 inch hanging folders…well… you decide.

These ThinkTex plastic expanding hanging file folders are exactly what I needed to tackle the clutter in my home office during my spring cleaning mission.I appreciate that they're made of plastic; I'm hoping they'll be more durable and less prone to tearing than the paper ones I currently have.Having a set of three will allow me to create clear categories for my different types of paperwork, making it much easier to find what I need. I'm looking forward to finally having a well-organized filing cabinet thanks to these ThinkTex folders.

These hanging collapsible file folders do a good job. They fit well in my file cabinet and appear to be built to last. I agree traditional files are cheaper, but I like these designs for when I need to move collections into long term storage. They hold up well and allow for more files per tab due to the accordion design.
