This bow holder makes life in a climbing tree stand much easier by decreasing movement at the shot and keeping my bow close at hand. It also allows climbing with the bow instead of having to pull it up after getting settled. It's hard to dislodge on accidental bumps but easy to get out with the proper "rear then sideways" move. The only down side is the length of the bolts hanging on things as you walk in, but that doesn't happen if you are careful and they can be cut off. Rubber grip on the hanger protects the bow.

Got this to hold my bow conveniently. I usually screw in a step or hanger but always had to stand, turn to get my bow ready. This keeps it handy and ready on my summit climber. Great product.

I highly recommend this to anyone who was a crossbow or bow. I usually set my crossbow in before climbing the tree and it stays put. Easy to access once you are in the tree and sitting down.I installed this one on an "API Outdoors - Grand Slam Extreme" Climber. Fit was perfect for the 1" rails. Once everything was tightened down, I was able to get the angle I wanted the bow to sit at while in the tree an tightened down that adjustment. All set for hunting, as said earlier, I climb up the tree with my crossbow and when it is time to get down I climb down with the crossbow in the holder. I have climbed a tree at least 50 times since installing and never have any issues.Buy one, you'll be glad you did.

Works with summit climbers. After install i shortened the bolts and then rounded the corners on top and bottom mounts on both of my climbers. A little bit of rubbing when you pack them together, tend to look past that because they are rock solid and the bow isn't going anywhere. If your using the old screw in bow hanger, try one of these. You will love it. Its sweet. If you end up rounding the corners, i used a grinder, it doesn't take much but i did end up nicking the rubber. If I was to do it again i would just use the rotary tool.Don't buy the summit brand, I did and it was a waste of time.

It’s a lil on the heavy side but I’ll take the heaviness for a solid product. I didn’t like the fact that I had to go buy bolts to bolt this onto my Millenium M60. The bolts were too short if I mounted it across the outside rail and I couldn’t tighten the nuts down far enough to get the bracket tight if I mounted it to the platform. Pretty good concept but be prepared to buy some bolts to make it fit certain stands because the bolts definitely aren’t universal.

I bought this bow holder to use for my summit viper. After doing some research it seemed like the best bow holder on the market. When I received it, it unfortunately was missing the backplate to hold it onto the stand. I emailed Jim at third hand archery inquiring about getting a replacement. He sent me a backplate that was at my house quickly for free. This bow holder is made extremely well. It seems as if it was made by a cnc machine and seems extremely durable. It’s large enough to hold bigger bows and is easily able to adjust the position how the bow sits. It fits my summit stand without a problem.

I like this product overall and it does what it says it does, but it doesn't seem like the best option for climbing stand due to the bulkiness of the base. To be clear - once the climber is in two separate pieces, you can attach it to the top rail and I felt very secure with my bow in it. However, the reason I use a climber is to hike into an area with it on my back in a back pack fashion. I use a Summit Viper that nests together. The bulkiness of the base of this makes it so that I can't nest the two pieces together, so it involves me screwing in the pieces once I get to my tree and unscrewing when I get down (so one of these is in the dark). Otherwise, it does what it says, but I think I would go with another product that I don't have to remove when nesting my climber.

Product mounted to my Hawk strap on stand. My Hawk stand doesn't look the same as the one in the setup diagram but it's simple enough and fit my stand fine.Third Hand makes another version of this same bow stand but in camo - I believe it is $5 more. Well I'll tell ya I think that the camo version is the way to go. FYI the metal plates that come with this version of the product are shiny - not dull. I happened to have camo tape but black duct tape would have worked fine. Definitely recommend covering the shiny object in the tree.I didn't give this product less than 5 stars because - this product is a great solution and they offer an entry-level priced version for folks who are really strapped on finances but want to hit the woods. Honestly in that case I'd recommend hanging your bow on the tree next to you and saving money to be able to afford their camo version. The functional design of the s grip is awesome. The rubber material is sticky enough to grip and hold in any weather. It can be rotated to accommodate a different now. We like that - my wife will be using the stand later in the year. This is her first year to hunt archery so she may end up using a crossbow at the last minute. This stand will hold that too.Overall I LOVE this bow stand!!!
