Its Thomas Kincaid so of course it's all perfect xmas nostalgia in a box. But my tree is only 9ft and it looked so tiny way up there. Sad!

It is small and hard to see from the floor on my 9’ tree but it is beautiful. I have 18’ ceilings in the living room and the tree is in the corner next to the open stairway so the star is eye level from the landing. The detail on each of the reigndeer is really nice but hard to see from the ground level. With that said regardless of not being able to see all the fine details at the top of my tall tree it still looks awesome up there and is definitely a talking point when guests come over. Having it spin around the tree is just not something everyone has seen before. I love it. They love it. It really is a great piece. As for the comments about the noise, I can hear it when there is nothing else on in the house but with people talking, tv or music in the background or even the sound of the house settling I can not hear it at all or it is very minimal and not at all bothersome.

Its pretty but way smaller then I thought. I didn't put it on my tree this year, as I already had my tree decorated when it arrived. but I think it's going to look really small on my tree.

Received and it’s briken. It doesn’t work. The battery area does not have the metal part for the battery to attach to, therefor there is no electricity and the whole thing doesn’t work. Incredibly disappointed. I’ve reached out to the seller (I’ve take pictures) - be interesting to see how they respond/handle the situation. I will update ...

This is a really nice topper and my Grandkids all approve! Some people have been leaving reviews stating how the motor is very noisy and burned out quickly. The motor does make a tiny bit of a sound but you only hear it if the room is completely silent. After the motor has been running for about three hours it does shut itself off to conserve energy but you just flip the switch back and fourth and it is reset for another three hours. We have had it running every day for the past two weeks for about 6 hours a day and it has not had any troubles at all. As with any type of motor it will probably stop working some day and if it does, I will purchase another one if they are still being made.UPDATE: We have had this topper for 3 years now. it runs 6+ hours per day for the entire month of December and still runs flawlessly.

This product is nothing like what is shown which is very disappointing especially since it comes from The Bradford Editions. If you look at the product picture, the star appears to be 1/3 the size of the sleigh and reindeer, and the sleigh itself is as wide as the star. In actuality, the sleigh is 3" long and the star is 7.5", and the sleigh with reindeer measures 10" long. The star appears to be clear in the picture and giving off a warm glow, but instead it is laminated in stark white which looks cheap. It doesn't stop there with the issues though. The first one we got was animated for roughly 20 minutes before it stopped working, even the star stopped glowing. It never worked again. The seller agreed to send a new one but couldn't send just the parts that didn't work. Since the return label and such were not sent with the original, they were supposed to send it with the replacement so we could return the broken one.The replacement came in and even before I opened it, I knew there were issues as there were pieces rattling in the box but the shipping box was not damaged. On opening, sure enough, there were several decapitated and/or antler free reindeer. To make things worse, there was no return material included yet again.Trying to find a way to save this purchase, I leveraged the original sleigh and reindeer with the new star and motor. It was said to see that it also didn't work...trying to find a positive...but at least the star was lit.I am still working to get it resolved and now am up against a return deadline. Wish me luck as apparently I will need it to resolve this. Needless to say I expected more from this seller.

I love this tree topper. I'll try to address some of the negative reviews here.I see many complaints about the size, I think they're unfounded - if it was bigger I think it'd look cheesy. The star is about average size with Santa and his team measuring about 2" tall and 11" long. The size makes it subtle yet unique.Santa orbits the star not the tree. Keep this in mind when reading the reviews that complain that Santa doesn't light up. I believe the intent is that it creates a silhouette look in low light situations. This is much like you might see in old children's books when they show Santa flying past the moon or a Christmas Star.Installation should work well with a real tree, a fake tree, a big tree or a little tree. The Star does not slide on top of the tree like a traditional one would. Instead the star sits atop a rod that runs along the trunk of the tree. The rod is attached to the tree using common zip ties (included are several years worth of zip ties). If you had an exceptionally large trunk you can easily connect two zip ties together to increase the length. You might also want to note that Santa and his reindeer due appear to be delicate and are not intended to be handled by children.
