I put these strings on my electric violin (I have two wood violins). At first, I was not overwhelmed by them. The A string sounded much brighter than the others...it stuck out like a sore thumb. But I kept with them and they settled in after a week. The A string now matches the tone of the set and of course they have finished stretching, so do not need re-tuning as often. The tone is fairly warm and the strings ring for a very long time (mostly noticeable because the violin is electric).Here is a tip for those having trouble with strings snapping. Bring the strings up to tune SLOWLY. If you try to crank them up too quickly, any brand will snap. This is true of all four strings, but especially the E string.Bottom line with Alphayue: They are not Eva's or even Dominants. But they don't cost like those others, either. For an inexpensive set, they are pretty good. I would recommend them for beginners, or even for your backup violin if you are more advanced. They are not bad, really.

Enfin trouvé des cordes qui conviennent à mon violon! Après m'être trompé de taille (en confondant "viola" -en anglais- et violon j'avais reçu des cordes d'alto non utilisable!) le son de celles cis conviennent bien en remplacement de mes tonica, plus doux.

Si buscas un sonido cálido y dulce, estás son muy buenas, hacen qué cualquier violín por más barato qué sea, suene muy bien, me parecen unas cuerdas de muy buena calidad, me encanta su sonido

Usually when something is too cheap to believe, it's terrible. Not Alphayue. With extremely low expectations I couldn't help but be completely surprised that THEY REALLY DON"T SOUND LIKE THEY COST $20. That's the most truthful I can be. They break in very quickly, don't get wonky when the summer humidity suddenly gives way to fall-like crispness, and don't make you feel like you're scratching your nails across a chalkboard. Bear in mind, do not use these for your NY Phil debut, but you can make them sound sweet. Dark is a word I would use to describe the tone more than sweet, but you can tease out some nice notes with them. You'll be a better player for it too...

I’ve used so many varieties; all high-end strings. These are truly worth trying. I did not expect to get that quality at that price point. I thank the person who recommended them. I intend to buy more for my other violins.

I've been playing on these strings for about a month now, and I prefer them over beginner steel strings. They don't have that tinny nuisance to them and sound more mellow and less shrill. It took several days for the strings to settle in and stay in tune for long periods. Overall, they sound pretty good. I am so glad to have found decent synthetics for under $50

Wonderful product, I love these strings, it gives a beautiful intimate sound to my violin. I am a professional violinist so I don't really need an expensive string set to make a beautiful sound.very comfortable for chamber music or with a full orchestra. As soloist most of the time, I play with piano accompaniment or String Orchestra so they are perfect for all styles too.
