my third pair. these last for 8+ years.Weight, comfort, quality, style and fit are the best you'll find.Made in America, and these are the best. The cost is a bit higher than the Chinese products, but IMO it's totally worth it!

My husband works in construction and ordered these boots for his job. Initially, they felt a bit tight, but after wearing them for a few days, they loosened up. He finds them very comfortable and thinks they are worth the money. Since wearing these boots, he no longer comes home complaining about his hurting feet.

I bought these boots last year when I took a job as a City Carrier Assistant (CCA) for USPS, and I must say that these boots performed admirably well. They didn't take too long to break in, had good ankle support despite being a shorter boot, and, even though they were not advertised as being water proof/resistant, they did a great job of keeping my feet dry in all but heavy rain.I did deduct one star from the durability rating because they only lasted about 10 months for me before the outer soles of the boots were worn down to the grainy interior under the balls of my feet and the stitching of the upper panels came undone in a couple small spots; however, it must be said that for about 8 of those months, I had a hold down on a route with c. 9-10 miles of walking everyday. Add to that the additional miles form bumps, working on other routes when I had to come in on the "off" day for my normal route, and Amazon Sundays, and these boots must have lasted close to 2,000 miles before I returned them under the warranty.Speaking of, I received great service from both Outdoor Equipped (the seller I bought from) and Thorogood during the return process. I contacted Outdoor Equipped first, who promptly got the ball rolling, and Thorogood gave clear and simple directions for returning the boots for an evaluation. After their receipt of the boots, I was issued a refund under the warranty within a week without any argument. I(I had only expected a sole replacement, an aspect I like about their warranty to minimize waste, but I suppose the stitching issue made repair not worth it.)The comfort 125 footbeds only lasted two months or so before I replaced them with insoles from Super Feet, but I bought the boots expecting to replace them. (The ones I wear from Super Feet last a little longer since they're not cushioned, but still only make it about three months.) I actually prefer just a thin insole in these boots as the cushioned footbeds do take up a noticeable amount of space, but if I were in a warehouse environment with less walking, I could see the appeal.

First, I like these boots a lot. Really comfortable and look okay. But within a few months of wearing them daily the rubber is separating from the upper really quickly.

One of the most comfortable work shoes I’ve had. However the eyelets are very weak. In less than 2 months I have had 2 come completely off and several loose. I’m repairing them as they fall off. I’m on my feet all day and this is the first shoe in a long time that keeps my feet from hurting, so I deal with the poor eyelets.

I purchased these boots for my work as an airline pilot approximately 3 months ago. After non-daily use over this period the sole has begun to separate from the upper almost all the way around 1 boot and it is beginning to separate on the other boot. These have a 1 year warranty so I reached out to the manufacturer who said all warranty claims have to be handled through the retailer. I have reached out to Outdoor Equipped and after several emails which included pictures I was told I would need to ship the boots back to them, AT MY OWN EXPENSE. Only after they receive them would they even attempt to determine the validity of my claim and work with the manufacturer to determine IF the warranty would be honored. After reading the reviews I expected better quality and I always expect better customer service. I’m highly disappointed in this purchase! Also during this process I learned Outdoor Equipped sells these same boots on their own web site for $20 less than they list them on Amazon.

Ive waited 6 months to write a review. My first ever. I just had to share how happy I am with these boots. Im a operating engineer for a hotel and the one problem ive always had is shoes not lasting. I would buy black boots/shoes at sears jc penny and more and they wouldnt last 3 months. The soles would always come apart. The inside cloth of the shoe would be shredded the cushions would come loose and curl up. I could not get a shoe to last more then 3 months until i came across these. Specifically looked for American made and they have not let me down. Ive put them thru the test and they are just as great as the day i bought them. I can't say more then it's a good quality boot that will last. I shine them once a week and they are back to out of the box fresh. You have a customer for life. If these ever do wear out I will certainly be buying another pair from you. Thank you!
