These thread repair inserts are very handy. So far I have used several to repair some stripped holes in my car engine bay. They worked very well for repairing the stripped metal holes. I look forward to next trying them to add threads to some holes I drill in wood. These are worth every penny. Any potential buyers need to make note of the hole size and thread measurement (M6 x 1.0 x 3D) they are matching to their screws though. These are for a specific size and will not conform to any other sizes. Anyways, 5 stars from me

Unless you are burying these in some sort of hot and meltred plastic housing, I am not sure how you can insert them into any material. The inserts are as flexible as a piece of tightly wound spring. I can slightly bend them with my fingers. Waste of money if you ask me.
