These are 100% better than coiled style inserts. They provide a permanent fix that is liquid and pressure tight. I'm changing all of my thread repair sets over to this style. Worth every cent.

Threads look great and are nice and smooth. The description didn't say what the outside thread size was. A ridiculous problem to have. Not even just this specific repair kit, but everything this seller has posted. I chanced it, hoping for 1/2". But, surprisingly, it's metric. M12 - 1.5. Definitely not what I need. Because a 1/2" is bigger (12.7mm), I won't be able to make this work without going bigger. For my application, there just isn't that kind of room to work with
