Stainless steel knobs have excellent corrosion resistance, making them the best choice for harsh environments. They also have good chemical resistance. Aluminum knobs have mild corrosion resistance, are lightweight, and are nonmagnetic. Brass knobs have good corrosion resistance and are nonmagnetic. Plastic knobs are a lightweight alternative to metal. They resist oil, grease, and solvents. Phenolic has good scratch resistance. Polypropylene has good impact resistance. Durable multi-purpose plastic knob, suitable for many applications. The phenolic version comes with a hard smooth shiny finish.

The product is not as described, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.It does not have any brass or metal insert for the threads, they are just molded as part of the ball.Not that it changes how I used it, just a bit of false advertising, if you're looking for the metal insert.I want another one, but will look elsewhere, as it should be a bit cheaper without the insert.

This item does not have a brass insert. Just plastic ball that I could get a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Love the size and fit. Picture has metal insert. Actual knobs just threaded hole in the plastic (which strips out over time)

ball didnt have brass insert as advertise which makes it not as strong and break or fall apart sooner
