The Thule feet are very nice and they mount relatively quickly & easily. Very securely hold the Thule AeroBlade bars I got to go with them and the combo is indeed very quiet when in motion. They're not imperceptible but, hey - they are pushing air so they won't be. I am very pleasantly surprised by how quiet they are though.I deducted 1 star because the seller shipped the Foot Pack in a box over 3 times the size of the product's box with absolutely NO padding inside. Literally nothing at all. The product (Foot Pack) is very heavy and the result is the package arrived with a badly damaged & opened on pretty much every side/end because the Foot Pack box burst it open from the inside from flying all around in there during shipping. Not only irresponsible on the seller's side but inconsiderate and unappreciated. We just got lucky that the Foot Pack box stayed inside - it almost didn't, the holes in the shipping box were so large. Even the UPS man was amazed and commented. He listed it in his notes as "opened".Product = 5 stars. Seller/shipper = 2 stars. GENEROUS rounding for result = 4 stars.

Fit as advertised. Easy to install and a good fit as all Thule products seem to be.

I have these installed with 66" bars on a 2013 acura rdx with side rails. I was nervous to get this because of the way they "strap" on to the bars. I thought it would be flimsy and not feel solid. I was wrong. Very stable, I have carried multiple boats, cargo box, cargo cage, multiple bikes, and lumber. Not all at the same time of course. I have had two boats, the cargo box, and large fat bikes on top with absolutely no issues. You definitely need locks. Don't cheap out and skip the locks. You're basically asking someone to rob you. If you already have thule equipment with locks, don't buy locks in a package for the rack, call Thule and order them individual, I think ~7 bucks a piece. Kind of pricy but you then only need one key. Get an extra key too. This is also easy to remove when not wanted. I would recommend marking your rails where the bars go so it's easy to reinstall them. I'm kind of a freak about having everything symmetrical and I have found this to be a lot easier.Update: I have now moved these to a 2014 FJ Cruiser with the OEM roof rack. Works great. I have them installed with 78" bars and still going strong.

Good roof rack system, works exactly as desired and was purchased at a good price! The whole system comes together well, directions are strait forward and easy to follow. Once its all put together it looks good (Not even bothering to take it off the car (2011 Kia Sorento) when not in use, just leave it on there). Easily adjustable, and works great for the big 80lb 15ft+ kayak I got it for.My setup:Thule LB58 Roof Rack Load BarsThule 450 CrossRoad Railing Roof Rack Foot PackThule EC1 Load Bar End CapsThule 883 Glide and set Kayak mount.Couldnt be happier with the setup, although am considering getting the wind shield to put on the front (The square bars do make a little bit of whistling, but I accepted this when ordering the square vs the oval ones)Good roof rack system, works exactly as desired and was purchased at a good price! The whole system comes together well, directions are strait forward and easy to follow. Had to use this set to move my Prologue racks closer to the front of the SUV so that the racks do not block the trunk lid from moving up entirely. The steel straps are wrapped in the rubber material and "wind" quite easily with the Allen tool on the locking cap. You can wind the strap to get a very good hold on the rack but be sure not to over-tighten so that you don't damage the factory rack (if that is where you are using the foot pads). I purchases the multi-lock pack so that I am able to use multiple locks with the same key. If you anticipate that you will use may types of racks or lockable systems, it is also a good investment. Once I placed the foot packs to wear I needed them to be, it was a simply install and very secure once the locks went in. I have a two bike Prologue rack and this will stay on the SUV for the rest of the Spring/Summer. So far, I am happy with this purchase. The quality also looks very clean with nice fit.

We own a Thule luggage pod and, last year, mounted it on our full size van with the load bars and gutter mounts, also from Thule. This year, a week before we were to leave on vacation and never thinking to look beforehand, I discovered that our Honda Pilot (that we have now instead of the van) doesn't have gutters, just front to back rails for a roof rack! Ahh! Well, I bounced around the internet for a little bit and found out that the 450 Crossroads were made just for that. And they worked great! My wife and I slid the load bars through the 450's, positioned them on the Pilot then wrapped the protective strap around the Honda rails and tightened them up. Absolutely dream easy! Each 450 has it's own Allen head tool for tightening that stores away in itself. Very solid, good design. The strap and amount of adjustment that the 450 has would make me think that it could fit many different size and shape rails.
