We took Nova along when we went to visit my grandparents upstate a few weeks ago. I thought it would be great. Lots of tree, and empty space for her to run around. Unfortunately, I noticed a fat tick on her not long after we got back. So I decided to try midoricide’s fleas and tick spray. Worked wonderfully! We also went hiking a few days ago and decided to it as a preventative step. I am happy to say my Nova is still bug me free!! ❤️

We've had issues with ticks in our backyard, I've tried this spray to help serve as a deterrent. It does have a fairly strong, essential oil odor to it. It doesn't smell bad, but the smell is very strong. I placed a few sprays onto a cloth and then wiped my dog's fur with the cloth. It does leave the fur looking and feeling a little oily.I like that it's a more natural option and seems to have been a safe option for my pet. However, you do have to apply it to your pet every few days in order for it to remain effective. It might not be a good option for every day usage (just because the smell is a bit much), but it's great if you're going to be out hiking or temporarily in more tick-prone areas.

We moved to Missouri about a year ago and to my surprise, it’s crazy here with the different types of ticks, fleas and bugs in general. My dog is a house dog who never runs or plays outside but loves to go on walks. And on more than a few occasions, She attracted a few unwanted hitchhikers. From 4 different types of ticks and a number of fleas. We don’t want her to have to deal with that this year so we thought it would be a good idea to try this. We spray it on her twice a day. One in the morning and one in the evening. I’m not sure if it’s by coincidence or if it’s working but So far, we haven’t seen nor found anymore free loaders on her.My husband also used it to spray the bottom of his bag, pant legs and shoes before he goes golfing and he hasn’t had any problems either.

So I use the flea prevention collars for my 2 golden retrievers, but there are still the occasional times that we go out during the summer to places that have lots of insects and I worry about stragglers coming into my home as nothing is ever 100% effective. I dont really spray this on my dog directly as I am sure it probably taste terrible should my pets lick themselves, but if it came down to it and there were noticeable insects on them, I may apply it directly on them in those scenarios. That being said, this spray works great for spraying my pets beds and high traffic areas to prevent or eliminate any insects. The scent is not too overpowering, and after spraying the entire dog bed down the smell seems to last for a good day or two. So I typically spritz the area once a week or after going places with heavy insect presence like hiking in the woods, the dog park or beach. Great product, and an effective natural way to keep insects out of my home without using toxic sprays. Highly recommend

I have one of two dogs that can find the only flea on the planet in the middle of winter, in an atmospheric river of down pouring rain, and bring it home. When that happens, sometimes you just have to address the situation when you find it--especially when you don't have the time for flea bath. With that said, this product met my needs and addresses the lone flea or two that want to hibernate for the winter indoors on my dog. Yes, I've smelled better but I have also smelled worse sprays--but this product is made to kill fleas and is not a substitute for a good old fashioned doggie bath. My dog HATES getting sprayed with anything, and this is no different. However, it works and is a good way to address errant fleas. I do not like the pills or the gross neck oil gunk that most people use--so I have to find something natural that I trust. This spray suits my needs and works in conjunction with a bigger plan of "flea management". Yet, I will have to also see how this works in the warmer months when the battle for a flea-free pet will be a much bigger challenge!!

I was very interested to order this tick and flea product because I have been using lemongrass and cedarwood essential oils for flea control, and loved the idea of these being combined in spray form with additional elements. including sesame oil and soapbark (quillaja extract).I plan to spray this on my sheltie when flea season arrives and brush it through his prodigious coat. When I've used essential oils, I've put drops right on his brush and followed with a careful flea combing on his face, neck and armpits. This smells like the homebrew I've made, with the lemongrass smell seeming to predominate.Review of Midoricide Tick and Fleas Product with Cedarwood, Lemongrass and Quillaja Extract for Dogs and Cats -16oz. It is early in the year yet to give this a full test but last year I really had a run in with the fleas on my cat. Then I used my own mixture of stuff that is very similar to what this is. Luckily my cat is lighter colored tabby and it is easy to see the little flea buggers.I would spray them direct which would stun them but they may have lived through it as they were not going away over time. Fleas are like little Abrams tanks, very tough critters, So I then started to physically attack them with my needle nose pliers - simply squash them with a small pop and pluck them out to the trash. That way I had a 100% eradication rate after a couple months. Now with this formula I am hoping that it does as well as their claims of kill rate. I have faith in it and if not then I can always add a few drops of cedarwood and rosemary oils.
