I can o my give 3 stars because I was disappointed in how many of my seeds didn't germinate. I planted all 2 packs too. I only got 2 small pots. It was enough seeds to get way more plants than I got. They did sprout fairly quickly. But they have kinda stopped growing after a few inches. I am hoping that that's an issue on my end. I am going to move them to a sunnier spot in my house in hopes that helps. Maybe some miracle grow too to add to it. But these are re ally fun plants and my kids love interacting with them

There was a bunch of dirt on all over the outside of the box, I had to clean it off before gifting it to my daughter. Havent opened it yet but I'm sure with my green thumb I'll be able to make something of itEDIT: keep seeds moist, not wet, and WARM! All of mine sprouted within days I'm very pleased. Used my own soil though.

I had thought this was overpriced when I ordered. (you can buy a thousand of these seeds for less than half the price on Amazon.) However, I was in a pinch for some interesting stocking stuffers.Suffice it to say, after a couple seeds sprouted oh, I never made it taller than an inch. We followed all of the directions, but no luck.

Love this - just follow the directions and you'll have plants growing in no time! There were a ton of seeds in there, so after we soaked them I used the ones that began to sprout in the dish and discarded the rest. We used the two provided cups with the soil disk, and then (because there were so many left over seeds) I planted another four in some potting soil I had. The ones in the little pots are doing okay, but the ones in my potting soil are doing fantastic! Might want to go with a higher quality soil, or maybe our soil discs were bad. Either way, this is a really cool project and I'm glad we bought it!

My 9 year old boy birthday party theme is "Plants versus Zombie" and we were looking for some fun party favor. We were interested in this plants kits since we saw some grown tickelish plants at a store and we had fun with them. It is really interesting to see them react! (you can watch some video on you tub about them). Now it's even better to plant the seeds and see them grow. I bout 1 set first as a test to make sure it could work.Well it does work great! you just have to follow the instructions:Parents need to supervise the kids and help them since you need to soak the seeds in some very hot water. But after that the kids can participate (and be patient). Well, they don't need to be too patient since the seed may sprout on the 3rd day. That's what happened to us (see photos). the 1st day was just the seeds soaking in the water. During the day we put the plants by a sunny window, and at night far from it. I just bought more sets for all the kids attending the birthday party (2 kits per set) now that I'm confident people will enjoy them. What a nice idea!, What a fun plant. It will take a while until we tickle the plants, but in the meanwhile it's a pleasure to see them grow. I also really appreciated the email the company sends after purchase. They seem to have a good customer service and want to help us to have a good experience. Update: I'm finishing this review with the latest photo. the plants are 2.5 weeks old (or so). I need to find a way to download the video where you see them playing dead after being touched.Or I'll show a photo before/after. I'll post more photos as they grow.

It was a little gardening experiment for me. I haven't really had much success with plants but this was a children's kit with the pre made soil and instructions so I gave it a try. The mimosa is also a unique and intelligent plant, some claim it has a memory and there's ongoing research on that. I planted 20 seeds( I would just put 3 seeds at a time to soak because the little nursery can just hold that much, instead of all of the 20 or so seeds per packet), I got 9 to grow to 3 pairs of leaves and now I have 6 with 5-6 pairs. The plant is fun to watch. The planting process was very easy and surprisingly quite successful. I would recommend this to anyone interested in plants or someone looking to gain interest in them.

arrived on time and as described it and my plants grew. i noticed for me the seeds i soaked for 24hrs in water grew but the ones i soaked for 48 hrs did not. I made sure to give them efficient lighting i actually bought i lamp from lowes that clamps to anything in my room and that was helpful. i bought some soil for mines diddnt use the soil provided in the package.I also didnt water the plant every day in fear of over watering the,. i water them a few times a week. if the soil is dry i water it a little and if its still most i leave it alone. leave my lamp light for the plants on all day whileim at work and turn it off when i get home. my plants are beautiful and i am satisfied :) would recommend. i actually gave one of the starter kits to my friends and hers are growing as well. she used the same soil i bought and only soaked her seeds for 24 hrs.
