Good quality item. Looks great and feels strong. Only thing I wish it had was the blades on the ends of the fan like a true fighting fan!

Makes a great POP sound when thrown open, you may or may not like that. The two outside silver parts are metal, inside ones are plastic, but that's ok. Somewhat heavy, but there's no way around that.

The fan is a little wide at the bottom, but is built very well and has very smooth action (open/close).

The internal spokes of the fan are chromed plastic. This was not clear from the description, and cheapens an otherwise nice product.

Very well made product. No sharp edges and after 6 months I have had no fraying of the fabric. A little heavy due to the quality of the metal.

Big difference between this fan and the ones priced out under $20. This fan is sturdy, has a good weight and is well balanced. Recommended for tai chi fan or as a hard martial arts weapon.
