  • Yes, the handplne is finished with 4 layers of marine grade polyurethane varnish. Rinsing your handplane in fresh water after each use will allow you to surf wave after wave for years to come.

  • Yes. you only need one handplane. When surfing a wave you would usually use your left hand to go left, right hand to go right or either hand to go straight.

  • Yes, the only prerequisite with bodysurfing is that you need to know how to swim, if you can swim then you can bodysurf. Its just a matter of timing and paddling hard until you're on the wave. The rest is pure wave riding fun.

I have a WAW Badfish (plastic version) as well but the wood Timberfish seems to handle better in my local, often choppy conditions. Easy to swim with. Excellent quality board, hand strap and wrist leashes. I put a sticky GoPro mount on the front and get great footage. I love my Timberfish!
