Product does not work as advertised. It is very difficult (and almost impossible) to split soft wood. The blade is not sharp. Small pieces of soft wood slip out from under the blade when you try to make a split. it is almost impossible to make kindling with this product and it will not be used. I would gladly return the product for a full refund if I could.

I have a karate school and we break 1 inch pine. This is great for converting broken boards into small strips ig 12 inch kindling. Have not tried using it for anything else. But love it.

The green powder coating or paint finish is slippery and wood pieces tend to slide very easy when operating. Splits pieces of pine and similar soft woods okay.

Handle bent the very first time I used it. And was on soft wood. Handle should be made with something stronger
