What Does a Timing Belt Do?
The timing belt keeps the camshaft and crankshaft turning at the correct rate.The crankshaft moves pistons up for compression and exhaust cycles, while the pistons move down for power and intake cycles. Depending on the vehicle make, a timing belt will also run the water pump, oil pump and injection pump.
When do the timing belt with water pump need to be replaced?

Dubious gasket fitment and casting quality. Water pump bearings hardly spun and the idler/tensioner even worse, grinding and wobbling. Way more confident reinstalling the OEM pulleys with 100k miles on them. Here I am 3 months later ordering an Aisin pump like I should’ve from the start.

If you’re not mechanically inclined take it to your mechanic .Im a full time mechanic tip is to take your time change the oil seals provided with this kit behind the timing cover use google for the time line on the pulleySpanish is under this¡Se ajusta como un clavo! Everything worked great. All the parts were very good quality. The O rings were missing from the kit for the water pump. It's almost impossible to find O rings in a parts store and thus you waste so much time looking for them.
