I wanted an "I pod" for my kids without the worry of app distractions. This fits the bill and he loves it.Bus, bikes, and car rides he can listen to his Spotify Premium (downloads your songs on wifi) and I don't have to worry he is buying V Bucks.

This was a great gift for our son. We haven’t allowed him to have a phone yet which bums him out, but this was a great gift. Comes with Spotify kids, so we can control and provide him with tons of music. You can download books to read, and has other fun features like a calculator! It may not be a phone…but he’s pumped about it.

we purchased this for my son for his seventh birthday because he has been wanting his own music player for a while. I didn’t want him to have to use his iPad every time he wanted to listen to something so we found this as a replacement for an iPod. He has absolutely loved it. I love how we can customize which apps are on the device, can control Wi-Fi, and he also is able to use things like the timer and clocks. There are a number of apps you can add to this, but for our use, we used Spotify and also Audible. It’s very user-friendly, even a seven-year-old could figure it out. You can also play the music without headphones. There is Bluetooth capability, but we use cord in headphones which worked great with this player. The only downside is we dropped it once and the corner was chipped immediately so I would recommend getting a case for it before using. It is a bit on the slow side when opening apps, but that’s coming from someone who has been used to high-speed everything. We are absolutely happy with this purchase.

Originally I gave two starts my prior review is below. Since then the company had reached out to me and offered a replacement. The new device is working as should and has yet to have any issues. The customer service was polite and fast at resolving the issue. Would recommend this company and encourage you to contact them with any issues.Prior review: I bought two of these blue mp3 players. They worked fine for two days then started to restart on their own, i have had to factory set twice, and had a corrupt system alert on both systems that needed to factory reset. Quality is poor. battery life is good, I don’t like that you can’t add youtube app to homepage. Sound is decent. Would not recommend

“Santa” brought this to my son for Xmas, after seeing it had good ratings and appeared to offer the features we wanted. But it has been inconsistent and glitchy from day one. The apps take a long time to open, if they do actually open and don’t cause the device to freeze and require a restart. There’s an app called Deezer that it keeps trying to force open, and after creating a new free account it won’t log us in. The settings feature to have the date and time auto set based on the network we’re connected to worked for a few days then suddenly started telling a different, incorrect time. It seems like every time my son gets it out to use I have to help him with some issue before he can just listen to music. I don’t know if we just got a lemon, but after our experience this past week, I would not recommend.

Exactly what I wanted - a simple player with SD card slot for extendable storage. I removed Chrome and other apps, really just use it for Spotify kids. Very easy for them to use and for me to be confident they're not seeing stuff they shouldn't. Very small for Kindle, perfect for just audio. Great value.

Open apps takes a long time and even low quality video from sd card is very choppy, the device is just grossly under powered.
