This item was very timely for me. I had just taken my Honda to the dealer for an oil change and they told me that my rear tires were down to 2/32 and needed replaced. I didn't want to do it at the time, so I said I'd call back and schedule. I then used this to check them myself. Indeed, there were a couple of spots on one of the tires that measured that low, but the majority of the tire was at 4/32 and so was the other. I'm not worried about those couple of low spots and I'll wait until at least half the tire measures that low. It's nice to be able to accurately check my own tires now.

Easy to use tread depth reader! Turns on easily and is very quick/accurate when it comes to calculations. Definitely worth it for anyone who needs to use one on a regular basis.

This digital tire tread gauge has three modes of measurement: Fractional, Decimal Inches, and Millimeters. Use it to monitor the wear on your tires to ensure they are rotated and wear evenly, and that you always have enough tread to maintain traction and safety on the road.

Easy to read and use. Tells you right away the measurements you need. Always best to replace your tires once they reach a certain depth. Glad to have a tool that helps in that. Provides measurements in 3 forms or 2 rather imperial/metric.

It works as expected with the nice touch of manual backup if batteries are dead. The display is easy to read and allows for changing units of measure. I didn't even notice that it came with 4 good metal valve stem caps to replace the normal plastic ones you get.
