These covers work well and are a great substitute for plastic wrap to cover dishes or bowls. The closure of the cover is primarily achieved by elastic that runs along the edge of the cover. At first I was a little put off by the slightly tacky/sticky feel of the beeswax on the covers, but after using one of them on an irregularly shaped dish (scalloped edge), I appreciated the extra closure that the tackiness provided. The pack I got came with 3 different sizes. The largest fit an oversized glass pie pan with an 11 inch diameter, with a little room to spare so it might fit a 12 inch pan. The smallest fit a large cereal bowl with an 8 inch diameter. To clean them, I simply rinsed under cool water and rubbed away some stuck on frosting. Package instructions say you can use a mild soap, but you should not use hot water and should not scrub the cover (I gently rubbed the cover with my hand).

I am a big fan of bee's wax coverings and items. They are very functional as well as a healthy alternative to using plastics that may leach microplastics into your food. They are easy to use and fit a variety of sizes of bowls/containers. The elastic bands keep your items protected from anything that may get into your food items while storing or sitting on a counter. I got these with the sole purpose of using them for my sourdough containers while spending time in the oven, and proofing. They are easy to clean with a damp cloth when needed. They are reusable and have so many uses in the kitchen.

First time using beeswax wraps & I really like them!! Just warm them up in your hand a bit & they work way better than plastic wrap. I will be buying more

Fits as described. Great for covering my bowls while waiting for dough to rise. Does have a funny smell straight out of the packet so may want to clean them before use.

Good range of sizes in a set..the largest will likely fit over a punch bowl which is helpful for large batches of bread. The smallest will fit a cereal bowl nicely. The elastic isnt super strong but should work. Laundering calls for gentle cycle, but realistically they will be washed with the dish towels and cloths on normal to heavy duty and in warm to hot water. Being 100% linen I expected them to shrink, but they are big enough that shouldn't be an issue.Over i would say good value and smart purchase.

These Tirphy Beeswax Bowl Covers are well made from thick fabric that’s securely stitched to the elastic. They feel durable, and I don’t expect the material to tear away from the elastic. The sizing is generous - my photo shows the small cover on a 6-3/8" bowl, the medium on an 11" bowl, and the large on a 12" bowl. All fit comfortably with room to spare. The instructions mention using "the warmth of your hands ... or half a lemon" to create a seal, which I found a little unclear. I simply placed them over the bowls, and they fit snugly, so I’m confident they’ll work as intended. The packaging is nicely done, and I think these would make a great gift, especially for a baker or anyone eco-conscious. At $17.99 for a set that’s designed to last about a year, the value depends on how often you’d otherwise use plastic covers. It may not save money, but they do go some way in helping to save the planet.

I wasnot expecting much when I ordered these bowl covers. I have had beeswax sheets before and found them difficult to use. These bowl covers appear to be a cotton fabric but coated with beeswax. They rinse off easily and store easily. The elastic on the covers is sufficient. I did not find the need to try and warm the cover before using. They worked just fine off the shelf. They are a pretty check sort off design. They easily cover my bowls. I use them to cover the dough for my sourdough bread I make and they are great for this purpose. They are a good value and I would recommend. They are thicker than I thought so that was a pleasant surprise.

The feel of these covers is very different to pretty much anything you ever experienced, I guess is the beeswax coating that makes it feel like that, like is going to be hard and tight, but is actually not that, is weird.Apart for the initial feeling, I am used to it now, they are pretty amazing, they can handle pretty much any bowl, I use the medium sized one with my 6QT bowl of the stand mixer and works great, the others I rarely use, but I have used them on bowls with and without "pourer" and in any case they hold pretty well. Very easy to use, wipe clean and friendly. Highly recommended.
