This New England Stories Double-Sided Titanium and Wheat Straw PP Cutting Board is awesome! The GR1 food grade Titanium side is beautiful, lightweight and very tough. Under most circumstances Titanium is very resistant to corrosion. As depicted in the product page photos, this Titanium side is best for cutting raw or cooked meat.The opposite side is made from Wheat Straw PP (Polypropylene), which is a byproduct of wheat production. It is a nice, more environmentally friendly alternative to petroleum based plastics, and as such, contains no BPA and does not leach chemicals and has been approved by the United States FDA. Wheat Straw PP is also naturally Anti-Bacterial. This side of the board is good for cutting vegetables and fruits, although I wouldn't cut raw meat on that side of the board. It has a small area with a textured surface for grinding garlic or ginger. The board has a raised edge around its circumference, to help keep from making messes on your counter, especially when cutting juicy fruits, vegetables or meat. The entire board is edged with a hard silicone frame, which is non-slip and helps keep the cutting surface off of the counter or table. The one area that is a disadvantage with a cutting board made from Wheat Straw PP is that it is less resistant to heat and may be damaged if exposed to prolonged high temperatures...which I am surprised is not mentioned on the product page, as there should be a warning not to put this cutting board in a dishwasher, as it gets too hot and may deform the board. This is somewhat a disadvantage over petro-plastics, as you can't expose the board to heat to kill off bacteria, as you could with a petro-plastic board...which is the primary reason that I would not cut raw meat on the Straw Grass PP side of the board...use the Titanium side for those jobs.Finally, the cutting board has a handy carrying handle on one end to make transport easy, and/or for hanging.I really like this New England Stories Double-Sided Titanium and Wheat Straw PP Cutting Board. It is well made, innovative and more environmentally friendly than a traditional petro-plastic board. The price point seems reasonable for a Titanium board this large and for the general quality of the product.I can recommend this product and happily give it a Full 5 Stars!

I have not use the cutting board yet but I received it today. It is very well made. I like the area for grating. I have ordered 3 more, 1 more for this home and another 2 for second home. Very impressed with cutting board.

I really like this cutting board. It is well thought out and designed. The wood face is gorgeous, and it easily doubles as a sleek, modern, and very trendy charcuterie board. It is very attractive this way. But it's also a rather good surface for fruit and veggie prep too. The board is very stable on the worktop and that's because of the non-slip edge banding - a great idea that really works. The stainless-steel side is for meats, poultry and fish prep - clean-up is easy, but you may have to hone your knife's edge after using it against the stainless-steel surface a few times. The size and weight of the cutting board is perfect in my opinion - heavy enough, solid enough, and big enough for all the routine food prep tasks I do. I always wash mine by hand and dry it off immediately because I want to preserve the beautiful wood surface for as long as possible [a few scars from knife cuts are just fine, they add a certain battle-scarred character to it while still looking good]. One of the things that impressed me was how well the handle was protected against possible damage during shipment - it may be a little thing, but that shows real pride of product and the desire to make sure it arrived in perfect condition.

So far so good. Use it daily and it is easy to use, fits the counter, Weight is good and quality is good.
