Our old Technics SL-3350 had sounded a little rough for a while now. Even with a new stylus it had a fuzzy sound that made new records sound old. Switching over to this full replacement setup solved our problems and it sounds great now! The high quality metallic headshell is solid, and the cartridge and needle are nice parts from AudioTechnica.A few things to point out though: ours looked very different from the photo. Our needle is blue, not yellow. And the connectors are silver, not gold. None of these changes seem to be impacting the performance though.

I bought this and a LP Gear class RSQ36 Stylus about the same time. I put the RSQ36 STYLUS on my original Technics ADC QLM 36 cartridge and tested it. Amazing how it woke up my Technics SL-3200 Turntable. Then I installed this replacement cartridge w stylus. The housing is cast metal, titanium plated, so it weighs 16gr, the ADC Tecknics weighs 13gr. I rebalanced the arm and tested on the same new 180gr Led Zeppelin album. WOW !!! What an improvement !!! I heard subtle back ground sounds I've never even heard on CD. Also it has more drive, I do not need a phono pre amp anymore to have equal volume when switching to CD or FM. This product is OUTSTANDING ! I would recommend you get one while you can.
