Didn't purchase these for dock building...instead purchased for securing chain and padlocks to gates on my property . These are just what I was looking for. Would have given 5☆ except for the large sharp burst in the galvanizing. Cut my hand removing them from the shipping box. They look like they will last a lifetime even in a saltwater environment
