Really thought this would be a good tool. Supposedly a great value.Here are the issues.First the flaring dies, the little black parts that actually flare the tube. You only get two of them. A 1/4 and a 3/16. The package says up to 5/8, but no dies.Second the saddle is not tall enough on the tool I got. After setting the tubing height to the thickness of the die collar, the saddle will not go over the die.Third the keeper wire that holds the point on the screw part of the saddle didn't hold. The point came off. This was caused by trying to get the saddle over the die.The tubing looks to be of OK quality and the fittings are good. The quality of the tool is lacking. I only needed this for 1 simple repair and will have to grind either the back side of the bar or the interior of the saddle to get the clearance need to use the tool.It's a hit or miss when you buy this.

The lines and fittings are fine. There's a decent selection and they are easy to work with. The cutter is cheap and it feels like it. There's also no deburring blade, which is needed to clean up the line. Now the best part - the flaring tool. It's not for brake lines! It's missing the dies to make a double flare which is what all the fittings are for. It will make a single flare but that's not what you need for automotive work. Terrible package if you're expecting a complete kit.

The concept of a replacement brake line in one kit is amazing. That's what sold me.With the exception of the line straightener, pretty much every thing you need is here.I drive older vehicles. I do my best to take good care of them. This includes brakes. However, with rust, comes rusty brake lines and fittings. You can take them to a shop to get replaced, but more and more places only want to work on newer vehicles.This is prefect for me. I can take off the old line, rig up a new one to match, and slap it on. Awesome deal!I cannot say how long the lines/fittings will last but so far, so good.
