Putting this under the wood piece to be laser engraved or cut increases the airflow. This allows the smoke to get out.If the smoke is trapped under the wood it will come back up and cause the laser to diffuse. This creates diffused burn marks on the wood around the cuts. By using this Honeycomb bed, the smoke difussion burns are eliminated (with some ventilation as well).Using this also reduces the wood alcohol on the platform. Which means less time cleaning between cuts/burns. This also reduces the smoke coming back up to the lens/laser which results in less cleaning of the laser as well.Worth it. One of the first things I purchased after getting the laser engraver. I have the Sculpfun S9. And it works well under it.

L’oggetto è ben fatto e fa il suo lavoro..peccato nn siano stati prediposti un paio di blocchi per tenere posizionato tutto sul piatto di stampa..peccato per la lamierina data in dotazione che non è ferro,e quindi nn calamitabile.. per il prezzo mi aspettavo qualche accortezza in piu.. migliorabile..

I was excited to get a base that fit my xtool F1 ultra...this isn't quite it...the bases move around a lot & they are too big so you can't even secure it. It said it's magnetic but doesn't seem to be. Both the flat plate & honeycomb keep moving whenever the door is opened up.
