Single Mom here so hard to teach your son to use a urinal since I don't have one at home and I do not use the men's restroom. So this really helped him learn how!

My boy really likes using this urinal! However, you have to remember to empty it out frequently because it can get little wobbly when pulling the tank if it's too full. It is probably more sturdy if using the wall mount.I would definitely buy it again

This item is not sturdy when on stand. When using it on the stand, the tallest setting is very short. My 3yo is normal height is the lowest setting is too short so you'll have to put it on the wall for correct height. The pee basin is shallow and small, so when my 3yo peed, it splashed everywhere and on the floor too. It's a mess on the floor everytime he peed. The flush feature is a great idea but not well executed. It keeps dripping water after the flushing. There is only enought water for about 5 flushes. My experiences are different from all the 5 star review. I am a mom of 2 boys, 1 7yo and 1 3yo. I don't recommend this item. It is not worth it for the price, quality and function.

Tip of the day for moms with little boys: Buy a urinal! I prefer this Peter Potty one. My two year old has been using this since he was 1. He never misses and you don't have to hug toilets to clean later. No wall sprays! No mess anywhere! It stays clean with each flush if you add a simple water cleaner solution. I wish I had this with the other two. Plus it's so simple to teach them. Just stand them in front and tell them to go. It's like hitting a tree for them outdoors and he feels like the big boys. It depends on your kid if they flush all the water out. Mine flushes twice. It's his reward for going so I don't mine if he flushes it more than twice. It holds a lot of water and the green container is huge enough to support all the flushes and uses. I prefer the stand because we may move it from one bathroom to another depending if we are on onside of the house more. The height adjustment is perfect for when he grows. I love this especially the curved out feature so no stress on their aim. He never misses. Search FB for my video review as well. I'm buying these now as gifts.

I have b/g twins. The girl potty trained doing the intensive 1 day thing based on a book that was going around at 2.5yrs.The little boy did not want to potty train. So we would try once a month. Finally at 3, I decided we needed to get serious. I tried a dozen suggestions before we found something that worked. Hopefully yours will go smoother, but we definitely experienced the stereotypical "boys are harder to train"I ended up getting a Peter Potty toddler urinal. It can be set for a range of heights, it flushes and is easy to empty once a day. Once they learn how to stand, there is no overspray or dribbling which is a personal pet peeve. I set a timer and we would run to it every 20 minutes for a week before he really started to get it. We made it a game since the m&m thing didn't work for us. Note that if you use it every 20 minutes you will have to refill the water resevior and empty the container more than once a day! This really worked well for us when nothing else did. I never thought I would install a urinal in my house, but I am happy to have it. In answer to some of the other comments, we have it against a wall and it feels very sturdy and have not had any problems with it being tipped over.

4.5 Stars: I bought the Peter Potty as a last resort to potty train my 4 year old. We had tried numerous potty chairs, books, DVDs, and advice from family and doctors. Nothing worked. My son's doctor told me that my son would be a late potty trainer. Dirty diapers and Pull Ups didn't bother my son. He was too busy working on an activity to bother peeing and pooping. After I received the urinal, I was doubtful. It seemed to be poorly made, and took some effort to get the holes where the stand and toliet meet to align.Once set up, the urinal is stable and takes up very little room. My son was curious and excited to pee just like daddy. After he started using the Peter Potty, it took two weeks for him to use a regular toliet for peeing. After about 8 weeks, he is comfortable pooping in a regular toliet at preschool. Yeah!Save yourself time, money and frustration! The Peter Potty Urinal is totally worth the extra money.

I purchased this urinal for my 3-year old who had begun potty training when he was about 2 and a half, but was still too short to stand at the toilet. The main reason I had bought this was because he could use the toilet, but we were still struggling to get him to take the initiative and I had read many reviewers saying that this urinal immediately captured the interest of their younger toddlers. Now, a couple of months later, my son has only used the urinal about 3 times, but is mainly in dry underwear all day. He still prefers to sit on the toilet for both pee and poo, since that was how he was originally taught. This is a good product for parents to buy when their son first takes an interest in potty training, so that they can be taught standing up. I also anticipate that as he gets older and more independent in using the bathroom, he should develop more of an interest in standing and this product would then be more useful. The height adjustment is more limited than what I had expected. Even though the urinal is set for his height and he is still not tall enough to stand at the toilet, it can probably only be raised another inch or two.It does not take up much space and is very easy to refill and empty. The few times that he has used it has been very convenient.
