My mom is very particular when it comes to creches. This one passed her test! She has her original nativity from the mid 1900's. And as she has added on pieces over time, her need for additional creches has increased. She is so pleased that now she has a small village of cheches that all her additional animals and shepherds have spaces now too. This is built really well, and has enough of a vintage look that matches back to her original buildings close enough for her to be pleased. The star arrives detached, and simply slides in when you are ready to display it - as people have their family traditions for that being on display on a certain day. Super pleased! Only negative - I wish the box that it came in was more of a keepsake instead of a throw away and very thin.

This is a cute but cheap looking manger - it's very rustic looking, though, which I do like . The walls actually look real. I added a few small Nativity figures to give an idea of how the manger looks with them. It reminds me of Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree...with a little love and TLC it could be fixed up! A lot of the grass fell off mine when I opened it but I just glued it back on. It is real wood but it's thin. For the price, I don't think the workmanship is there. I'll still use it - I'll just add a few more touches.

I have been looking for one of these for a long time. It was perfect for my 8 inch Lenox figurines. I think it was a little pricey but it was good quality and worth it.
