TOGU TG2814YG-55 brass door viewer has a 220-degree viewing range, and finishes of Satin Nickel, Satin Chrome, Polished Chrome, Antique Bronze, Antique Copper , PVD Gold, Brushed Gold, Polished Black Nickel, Plating ORB Black and Classicism Black are available. The viewer meets American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A156.16 specifications and is UL fire rated for up to 1-1/2 hours. It can be installed in a 9/16" diameter hole in doors 1-3/8" to 2-1/6"(35mm-55mm) thick.
Door viewers, also called peepholes, consist of a lens and cylinder which is inserted into a door, allowing a view outside. The amount of visibility is determined by the degree of the lens; the higher the number, the greater the visibility. The angle is about 160 degrees, which is nice. The image is clear and installation was simple. My only issue was making sure the inner lenses weren’t upside down (they fell out when separating the two main parts before installation). I like the swivel plate inside and the finish has held-up well so far (couple of months) in various weather conditions. Solid purchase - no regrets.

Reading some of the reviews and viewing the images for this product influenced me to buy it. The image shared on this product appears that objects or persons looked closer but after I installed it, it made the person or objects look far and smaller. The images you see for this product on the site is not the same when you install it. Objects appear farther. Otherwise, it does what it supposed to do and easy to install.

We are converting a v nosed cargo trailer into a camper/atv SXS hauler. We have installed windows, which we have gotten from Amazon, but there are a few blind spots. One being the front door at night and also up front where we store generator, fuel etc in the back of the canopy on the truck. I saw something like this on a you-tube shelter someone built to donate to the homeless and I thought how come I didn’t think of doing this. Hubby installed 2 on trailer in blind spots and they work amazing. Bought 1 for my sons cargo as well. Easy to install and if anyone planning on buying 2, I would recommend buying the black one that comes with the drill bit for same price or maybe $1.00 more. Great buy!

I needed 2 peep holes for the 2 exterior doors in my home. With 1,000+ listings on Amazon for peep holes, i thought I was going to have to read just as many reviews before I decided which to buy. I knew I didn't want to spend more than $10 each, so that narrowed it down a bit. I finally choose this one (I think it was an Amazon best seller or something similar) but only bought one just to make sure it was what I wanted. It arrived in just a few days and was in perfect condition. No scratches, no dents, no cracks. It unscrews easily into 2 pieces, so you can slide each piece in from either side of your door and screw it back together, and tighten in your door. It states to use a 9/16" drill bit (or spade) on your door to install peep hole in. I didn't have one on hand, but did have a 5/8" spade bit. I used this and it installed easily. The 1/16" difference made little difference. There are even 2 slight notches on one end to help tighten it up in the door. The wide angle does work, and gives you a nice wide view of your porch, or whatever your view might be. I was able to see much more than I expected. The peep hole cover on the inside is a nice touch, although you can not see inside when looking thru peep hole from outside, so like double security for that if it concerns you. No one is seeing inside thru this peep hole. This is an extremely good buy for $8 bucks. For $8, you get piece of mind when you're able to know who's knocking on your door late at night BEFORE you open your door. For me, that's an awesome deal. I just ordered the second one for my back door. If a little more security is what you're looking for, and you can't afford one of the new video door bells, and can't see who's knocking without opening your door, this should be a must for you.

We are using this indoors on our master bedroom door. For security reasons we keep our bedroom door locked at night. A few times we've had an alarm sensor on one of our outside doors fail and give off an alarm. Not knowing whether or not it is a false alarm, we had no way of ascertaining if anyone may have actually broken in without unlocking and opening the door. With this peep hole viewer we can see what's going on outside of our bedroom without unlocking the door. With the wide angle view we can look up and down the hallway outside our bedroom. It installed very easily, and looks very unobtrusive. Despite that fact that it is impossible to look in the other way, the security cover was a plus for my wife. We are VERY happy with this fairly inexpensive door viewer. (HELPFUL HINT - you may need 2 small flat blade type screwdrivers to tighten this during installation - I had a simple solution, a watch case removal tool that had 2 adjustable flat blades that worked perfectly.)

This door-viewer is what you're looking for. It's well made, easy to install, and provides a perfectly clear wide-angle view.I researched a variety of door-viewers and initially had my mind set on the larger viewfinder type. However, none of the versions available on Amazon were the right color. Once I came across this product, I realized it was the next best option.As many of the other reviewers have stated, this product has excellent clarity. I didn't realize this was a unique characteristic until I read reviews of other similar products. This door viewer operates well and the cover moves smoothly.The only part about this product I don't care for is the etched name "Togu" on the user-facing side of the cover. It's an eye-sore but honestly I only felt that way when I initially installed it. I haven't noticed it since then and the pros of this product well out-weigh the cons.For the price, it's an incredible value. I doubt there is a better option on here at the same price-point. If so, I was unable to find it.Do yourself a favor. Stop looking around and just purchase this one. I received no discount nor incentive to purchase this or leave a review.
